Carriers freak out about food delivery. Or anything that could somehow be delivery. Sometimes I feel like if the risk is within 1 mile of a road with cars they will shy away from it on some type of reasoning.
Commercial Union had a pizza delivery program for Dominos back in the day and we all know what happened to them. For you that have never heard of Commercial Union (I’m showing my age) they are currently out of business.
Actually Commercial Union is now One Beacon which happened when White Mountains bought CGU’s US operations and renamed it One Beacon. CGU was formed by the merger of Commercial Union and General Accident.
Great, just what this market needs — yet another competitor to further erode rates and drive this business back to the loss ratios of 10 years ago.
