Don’t worry, health insurers. Romney is so full of the sh!t he’s shoveling, it’s the reason why his face always looks like he’s smelling a fart. He’s probably lying to us all about repealing anyhow. He’s flip-flopped on literally everything no one can really know what this guy stands for or is going to do. His own campaign manager said they’ll just etch-a-sketch and that’s exactly what they have done. Romney will say and do anything to get elected. Just like he said, “I’m running for President, for Pete’s sake.”

“In contrast, Obama’s law is starting to look more and more like a tangible business opportunity.”

This is exactly what we have been saying all along, but all the chicken littles out there were too busy squaking “Repeal, repeal, repeal!” to hear us.

Good grief. Does anyone ever stop and think on this blog? The plan can be good for everyone, insurers and consumers alike. Calm down and try to catch a grip.

      Captain:

Nice bully comments. Like he’s smelling a fart….Very mature as well.

This is how a bully talks.

A real person points out things they disagree with, and does not pull out etch a sketch, does not use the word fart, he uses facts like “Abu Sufurian” “Iraq Withdrawal date = same” “premiums = claims” etc.

      Nice bully work though.

      Thanks for trying out!

Bob, that is the comments of someone from another Planet. He is an inmature Progressive who thinks his childlike comments are funny. He makes statements like he enjoys going to see the Bulls play at Wrigley field and thinks no one will think anything of it. I think he has been sniffing too much of that ethanol being produced in Iowa.

The poor health insurers, I feel sorry for them as we get delt the extra cost of healthcare. All I can say Captain Planet, when you get your new premiums I hope you have enough money to pay them. My premiums through my employer are going up $170 a month for 2013. Happy Obama care and I hope you enjoy the socialist society you are helping the US become.

      Lenny, from my HR Department:
While the average health care cost for 2013 are trending around 7.5%, _ _ _ is pleased that we will be keeping 2013 rates for the medical plan the same and adding additional tier categories to better define plan participants.
Short Term Disability will be paid by the Company for all eligible employees
New Voluntary benefits for Accident and Critical Illness will be offered
New Vision Insurance will be offered
New Health Advocate – helps navigate through the Health Care System
New spousal requirement for the base plan only
New plan design for Base plan with changes to deductibles, co-pays and coverage
Plans will have four tiers (Base, High Deductible and Dental)
      o Employee
      o Employee + Dependents
      o Employee + Spouse
      o Family
New smoking surcharge of 20% of premium on all medical tiers and plans
Access to CIGNA Quit Smoking Today Program- on-line or telephonic coaching and support
Pharmacy coverage is moving from Cigna to CVS Caremark
_ _ _ will increase Company contribution to employees Health Savings Account if you are enrolled in the HDHP
Medical Flexible Spending accounts will have a $2,500 maximum (IRS Guideline)
Dental Plan – small increase in premiums for the first time since 2009

This is the best health benefits news I have received in over 10 years. And, a private carrier is still the carrier. Hardly a socialist program as you intimate. But, thanks for trying out.

Care to disclose your insurance company, premiums for last 10 years, your plans experience etc.? Socialist. Good one. The man surrounds himself with Wall Street types and he gets called a Socialist.

Hey Libby and Captin – Looks like Mitt is give old spineless Obama a run for his money in the early voting. A President who looks turns a blind eye to the terrorist attacks on 09/11/2012 in Benghazi and blames a video about Mohammad for days after the terrorist attacks has no business being in office! And you don’t seem to hear anything about this in mainstream media, I wonder why? 8 more days and hopefull the Obamas’ will be packing their bags and sadly coming back to Chicago where I reside.

Hi Always. There is a new report out that early voting for Obama is down 22% from 08. Perhaps he didn’t get his base and young voters energized this time. If this holds true on election day, the election will be a landslide for Romney. You are right about Benghazi. Any President who sits idly by while the situation room watches Americans die in real time and doesn’t permit General Ham from sending a strike force to save them is not worthy of the office. Then, they lie about it for 6 weeks and hope it will go away. Actually, it is criminal. It is a good thing we won’t have Penetta, Hillary or this President in office much longer. It can’t get any worse than this.

Hi Agent, That is good news to hear. It is very disgraceful what happed in Behghazi and also in Egypt as well. My heart goes out to the famlies and friends of these 4 courageous souls. When Obama called on the Navy Seals to get Osama they were there. When they called him for help he tured a blind eye as well as Panetta and the rest of the lot. And it just amazes me how CBS, ABC, NBC, and probably CNN are all protecting Obama and not even making this an issue. When Romeny wins, I hope he exposes all the lies and cover ups that went down with this administration. Instead for Forward Obamas new slogan should read Coward because that is what Obama has alwasy been.

The problem with Obamacare (the Affordability Care Act (note: name is a fraud))is that it is designed to put these same insurance companies out of business. As designed (in spite of what we have been told) the premiums are going through the roof. It will become increasingly less affordable until 80% cannot purchase the coverage. They won’t buy, and will just pay the fine, which by way is much less than the premiums. This is by design. The companies will eventually go out of business (by design) and that will usher in a single payer plan (by design). Horrible, absolutely horrible. Being uninsured in this country is better that being insured in Britain or Canada. I know, I have lived in England for 5 years. They had better lover Romney because he will keep them in business.

We should repeal the law for no other reason than that it is a total partisan take over of 20% of our economy by government that was pushed through in the middle of the night and not a single politician who voted for it understood it. This all happened when the majority of our citizens were against it. Why cant we agree both republicans and democrats that there is something in the middle between us where we could solve our cost of medical treatments and be fair to doctors and patients.

Sarah, as you recall, the Democrats weren’t interested in Republican solutions to Healthcare. Their attitude was – we won, you lost, get on the back of the bus. There was absolutely no attempt to do this in a bi-partisan way and instead, the Progressive plan was rammed down our throats. The carriers have been busy implementing and we get bulletins all the time from Blue Cross on the phases they have to live with. In the end, they will be protected because HHS will subsidize them to keep them in business when they are paying all those PreX claims. Everything will end up in the exchanges online and geeks that know nothing about insurance will just process online apps for Medicaid like coverage. The agents will be on the outside looking in. There should be a way to compromise on this and get rid of about 2,600 of the nastiest pages and all the taxes about to rain down on the Middle Class. Romney will have his work cut out for him when he takes office.

Hi CT. I am sure you remember the now infamous Allen Grayson (D-FL) who got up in front of the House of Representatives and screamed at the top of his lungs and proclaimed – Here is the Republican Plan for Healthcare. It is DIE! That didn’t seem to go over very well in his Florida District and he lost in a landslide in the Mid Terms. Everybody on the left seems to discount what happened in the Shellacking of 10 which was the biggest in 40 years. Those same voters are still around and are motivated to even a bigger degree since the country is in more trouble now than then. With the prospect of Sequestration on the budget, higher taxes for all citizens, Obamacare on the horizen including all their new taxes, robbing Medicare for $716 Billion, I think we will end up with a landslide for Romney. Planet & Libby can drink all the Koolaid they have left and listen to the left wing polls and websites and it won’t change how the people think or vote next week.

JS, I hate to inform you like this, but Democrats were in Congress for all the years you cite and often in the majority. LBJ had a mandate when he was in office and succeeded in moving the Social Security Trust Fund to the General Fund to spend on his War on Poverty. The result we have is a broke Social Security System, record poverty, Middle Class with $4,300 less income and the prospect of Obamacare looming with all the new taxes associated with it. What a solution to Healthcare? Wow, I can’t wait – at least for 6 more days to throw these bums out of office.

Hi Agent: I appreciate your comment and even agree with several, though not all, of your points. However, I fail to see what it has to do with my earlier posts. The Republicans have not proposed any bills to help with the problem of the uninsured and have opposed several Democrat proposals. Thus, I still stand by my original point.

I get the feeling that you and CT Agent are of the opinion that if someone makes a factual point about Republicans that you don’t like, they must therefore be 100% in agreement with actions and platforms of the Democrats. If this is your belief, you are wrong. I personally am extremely unhappy with many provisions of so called Obamacare. But, the problem of the uninsured is real and the Republicans have not lifted a finger to help. If they choose to become part of the solution, I, for one, will be very happy because there is still work to be done. At the same time, I’m not holding my breath.

I’ve made my position clear. Govy has no biz being in the health insurance biz. No Tort reform is nothing but change for the sake of change. Any Illinois Politician should not be trusted at all regardless of anything any one says.

Whom ever votes for OBama is just voting for Chicago style politics in the White House. It was wrong in the days of Al Cappone, it was wrong during Grey Lord, Silver Scoop, Rezco, Levine, Blago, Jesse JR ect…

Libby and Taxpayer…you both need to do your own homework. Some of us listen to Fox and Rush because they actually do a little research. If you listened to anything but mainstream news you might become enlightened, but then you don’t really want that. You would rather spout talking points about going back to the days of slaves, etc.. A comment which you can’t provide any justification for. It means nothing. You are shallow and will drink Obama’s koolaid no matter what the truth is. I haven’t seen one post from you, Libby, regarding what happened at Benghazi. Can you justify Obama’s lying to us for weeks about what happened? (oh yeah, if you watched anyting but MSN, ABC, etc. you might know what really happened that day). Can you justify his watching as our ambassador was raped and ravaged? Have you even read details of how 2 Navy Seals held off the attackers for some time, called for help and were told to stand down? One of those brave men even painted a targey (go research that) so that a missile could be fired but no one in the WH had the balls to fire it. Have you listened to Charles Woods describe his treatment by the WH? Do you even know who Charles Woods is? Do you know who Tyrone Woods is? I doubt it. I’m probably wasting my time. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. TAKE THE BLINDERS OFF.

You do some research yourself, Lady. Have you seen how the Koch Brothers own the republican party? Do you even know who the Koch brothers are? Have you seen where Goldman Sachs runs the Congress? Do you even know that over half of the Fed is run by former Goldman Sachs employees? Do you even know what a Plutocracy is?

You people are like sheep standing in line, JOYFULLY waiting to be led to the slaughter by the 1% that you unwittingly and stupidly admire. Do you think they give a shit about you or any other peon worker or small business owner? I hate to burst your bubble, but THEY DON’T. They just as soon grind you in the dirt to make 100 bucks.

You are the ones that have not done your research. If you did you would know that voting with the 1% is like slitting your own throat. Who’s drinking the kool-aid now???

I was really hoping for a comment on how your president handled Benghazi, but guess that isn’t going to happen. You can’t defend him any better than he is defending himself by not taking questions about it. He is so arrogant and above us peons, and you can’t, don’t want to see that. For some strange reason you worship the ground he walks on and why???? He is above reproach. Why is that? And as for the wealthy… who employs you? I’m thankful to have a job and that is provided by some wealthy, honest men who work hard and provide a nice work environment. I don’t expect them to pay me what they make. You won’t be happy until the U.S. is socialist. Take away all the freedom we have and do away with free enterprise. I suggest you move to Europe.

I suggest you take your head out of you-know-where. The way Benghazi was handled was not right. The fact that it happened was a tragedy. I know the State Department did not act on repeated requests for additional security. That needs to be investigated and addressed.

Trying to say the President is personally responsible for denying requests for additional security is simply not true.

And as far as the “wealthy”, I am talking about the super-rich 1% who would be happy to put you and your honest, hard-working bosses out of business if it meant a profit for you.

I was hoping for a response about the Koch Bros. and Goldman-Sachs. I guess that’s not going to happen. Their actions are indefensible and led to the very situation you are now holding Obama responsible for.

For God’s sake. Open your eyes, woman.

He is ultimately responsible as Commander-in-Chief and he has said as much.

The hate for Obama has overridden any kind of civil or reasonable discussion between the right and the left.

            Sorry Libby, he outright lied.

Fox news had the report day one stating Abu Sufirian (sp, I am not the best at spelling Al Quieda names) lead the attack.

Obama claimed it was a result of a video, and MAY be an Al Queida attack.

Yes. Abu Sufirian is the same Abu who was released to a prison in Libya in 2007. Yes, Ghadaffi let him go. And then he attacked our country.

A few months before the attack Obama released 5 more Gitmo detainees to their families. They aren’t dangerous right?

A few weeks after the attack he agreed to release 55 more. They aren’t dangerous right?

He didn’t know when he saw Abu’s name in the report, which Fox accurately reported on day one, that a Gitmo Al Quieda member had anything to do with it?

He’s the freaking POTUS. He knew. And he lied so he could play the shutting down Gitmo card, while not suffering the bad publicity of the effects of letting go of Gitmo detainees. I’d call that pretty sleazy. We let go a Gitmo detainee to a Libya prison, and even that was too dangerous to do.

Side comment: Water boarding of another gitmo detainee lead to Osama. Failed policies of the past though eh?

As for Koch and the conspiracy theory there: It’s B.S. I’m just going to put that out there to begin with, and then ask you refer back to how we really got into this mess, which we just debated on recently. It was not preferential treatment to Goldman Sachs that made us collapse.

Otherwise, all the other banks would not have collapsed. Systems collapse as a whole when the whole system does the same thing. Not different things. Deregulation results in firms doing a multitude of different things, not the same thing.

Regulation and CRA did cause this collapse.

Agent Lady, You may have seen the story about General Ham, the commander of Africorn. He heard the pleas for help from the consulate and readied his strike force and asked to go in to save the Ambassador and Seals. They denied him and he was going to do it anyway when he was promptly relieved from duty and they are forcing him to resign. Between Penetta, Hillary and this President, they are the worst and watched our people die in real time and did nothing to help. Libby just says it was handled badly. The truth is they are guilty as sin and then lied about it for a month. They should be prosecuted for this criminal behavior.

“The rumor about General Ham is alarming. And so far, there is absolutely no clear evidence proving such an incident happened. In fact, much more evidence would suggest none of the rumor to be true.

General Ham isn’t retiring. If these rumors were true, he would have quietly been asked to retire or he would have been fired. To date, it appears that General Ham will be taking over one of America’s largest commands in the very near future. What that command is, well, we should just wait for confirmation of such.”

Amazed – as a journalist who has studied and researched bias in the media for the last 20 years and always tried to maintain an objective “middle of the road” view of the media, I find your comment about watching FOX news in order to educate yourself laughable. All media outlets are biased in some way but if you could be a fly on the wall at FOX on a daily basis, it would become clear to you that FOX is the most biased news outlet out of them all. The news at FOX is specifically molded on a daily basis to fit a very particular and specific politcal agenda. Reporters are told exactly what to report and even worse, are told exactly how to report it by the higher ups who ultimatly run the show. Again, most all media is biased but take if from someone who has intimate knowledge of the way things work at FOX.

The others are reporting on facts, not conjecture. Since no new facts have arisen from the investigation yet, there is nothing to report. Fox is trying to make this a political boondoggle and judging by the number of posts, they are succeeding.

You know what FFA, if Benghazi came down back in the Spring or Summer, the impeachment papers would have been drawn up for sure. Every day that passes brings out a new revelation from cables to emails that have been verified that Penetta, Hillary and this President knew from the first hour of the attack and watched it in real time and did nothing. Assets were in place to help rescue the Ambassador and the Commander was fired and replaced so he couldn’t order action. The number one duty of a President is to protect this country and its citizens and he couldn’t be bothered. Liberals cannot spin there way out of this. I see some comments about Fox being biased because they are reporting this as it happened. They did their research and obtained copies of the cables, emails and meetings that were called. The other outlets will not say anything since they are in the left tank. Would someone please answer why this Ambassador was in an Al Quida stronghold for over a month instead of Tripoli where there is more security? If he was afraid of the build up of Al Quida, why didn’t he just get out? One theory is that he was doing a gun running operation for the CIA to supply guns to Syrian freedom fighters and the deal went bad. If that is not true, we could have at least sent some Cobra gunships in and rescued him long before his life was in jeopardy. Libby, don’t give me any more nonsense about us waiting for the investigation to bring it out. We need to know before the election what kind of President we have and if he is culpable for this tragedy.

Libby, I don’t hate Obama. I never did. I didn’t think he had the experience needed to be president. I listened to his speeches when he was running and something didn’t set well with me. I thought he was lying. Those were my personal feelings then and those are still my personal feelings today. Obama still does not have the experience to be president and his record for the past almost 4 years speaks for itself. He had nothing to run on. Only broken promises. “You can’t chance the government from the inside out.” Obama said this – what does that even mean. He’s in way over his head and everyone knows it. Hillary would have been a much better president then Obama and I know many dems who think that today. I didn’t vote for Obama but I certainly didn’t want him to fail as a president, if he failed we all failed. And sad to say, he failed.

The terrorists made us look like fools. That’s huge! Obama has an investigation going on. Seriously, I doubt it. Not before the election. God forbid he might have egg on his face. CNN is not biased? MSNBC is not biased? Paleeze! Only Fox is biases; right.

Amazed, I, too, didn’t think Obama had enough time behind the desk to be President. I was a HUGE Hillary supporter and still am. I always said, it takes months in a new job just to know where the supplies are, how to work the fax machine, and where the restrooms are – let alone how Washington works. Hillary had spent 8 years there and could hit the ground running.

Honestly, I didn’t think America was ready to elect a black man over a white woman but I was proved wrong. When he was nominated, I got behind him because his values are more similar to mine. Plus I felt McCain, while a good man, was too old-fashioned and set in his ways to make any change. Plus if anything happened to him, and he isn’t a spring chicken to begin with, we would be stuck with Sarah Palin, which was too scary to even imagine. I think that decision was what finished McCain’s campaign.

I look at Romney and I just see slick. They used to call Clinton slick Willy, but he’s got nothing on Romney. I don’t want a former venture capitalist as President of the country. I don’t agree with his value proposition or his stance on women and gay rights. No matter what he says, he is a devout Morman and the church is very anti-women and gay rights. I can’t believe in his heart of hearts he can be unbiased about that.

Plus he’s flip-flopped so many times on so many things, I don’t feel I can trust him. At least Obama has been consistent with his message, whether you agree with it or believe him or not.

I am not saying other media outlets are not unbiased, but they are not as flagrant as Fox is about it. I do think most professional journalists try to be unbiased. There are of course, editorialists that get paid for their opinion. That is different.

@Amazed – I would say that Fox is running the most about the Benghazi attacks and have seen them cover the story from just about every angle both politically and journalistcally in only the way that Fox news can do. However, to say that they are the ONLY ones covering this story is a ludacris statement. I have read and seen many stories on this incident from almost every news outlet who have covered the story at one point or another. I think the real question here is why does Fox continue to use this story and the soundbites that come from it as political ammunition against the President and the entire Democratic party?

Libby, Well at least we can agree on some things – I am regarding your response below but I did think that American was ready for mixed race president, but just not Obama for his lack of experience. However, he is a very eloquent speaker, which I believe along with the media backing him (along with Acorn but that’s a whole other subject). I agree with you also about having Palin as president. That scared me as well. However, Obama has flip-flopped over a lot of things too and I suppose that’s just being human. One can change ones mind often enough but when it’s election time you do get chastised for doing so. I do believe that Obama did get caught with his pants down regarding Benghazi. There should have been a high alert warning everywhere on 09/11/12 and moving forward who ever wins this election I am suspecting when the next anniversary comes around sadly there will be. The 4 people who died on 9/11 didn’t have too die. They were sitting ducks who did feel threatened as well as the others at the embassies and consulates in other locations in the Middle East. The lack of security needs to be investigated right up to Obama’s desk. Why was this not put in place? Especially on 9/11/12.

I’m not an Obama supporter as much as I am anti-Romney. I read the article (link) posted by Captain Planet at the very bottom of this long chain and think it is an excellent summary of the strengths and weaknesses of both candidates. I think it interesting it was written by a British publication.

All things are not black and white, but I think we want them to be because it would be so much easier that way. Let’s see if we can find commonalities we can agree on and build on that.

You give Hillary too much credit Always. She is just as culpable as the President on this Benghazi tragedy. She has been doling out our money to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and elsewhere as Secretary of State. If you remember when she was running for President, she described herself as a modern Progressive. Progressive are the very people that have gotten this country into all the trouble we are in now. She also has plenty of skeletons in her closet when she was first lady. Remember Travelgate, Whitewater, Hillarycare? She blamed the scandal on the vast right wing conspiracy when Willie got into trouble. Oops! The blue dress showed up and shot that theory down. She stayed married so she could further her political career and that didn’t work out so now she has to fall on her sword for Obama and she is finished as a force in politics. If the facts come out as they should, she may even face some jail time for her failing to protect her Ambassador and the Seals.

Normally I do not comment twice, but I feel I must. There is a reason we have the best health care in the world. We have a system where doctors and providers can work for themselves. They can profit and be happy which benefits us. Take away profit and happiness and you have subservience and misery. Just look at other nations. I have seen firsthand doctors, nurses and hospitals that work for the state. There heart is not into their profession. That is why everyone who have the means and needs medical care comes here and hardly anywhere else!!! Come on people, all of us love the fact we can work and profit. Why not them?

Lou – where did you get the idea that profit is going to be taken away from the medical profession? Is that just some crap you heard from a Republican?

And since when do doctors work for the state in the U.S.? It simply isn’t true now or in the near future.

We already have subserviance and misery. Look around you. The 1% is making sure we are subserviant. I don’t know about you, but I’m amongst the 99%. We could make a difference if we came together against the 1%, but the propaganda they spew )using their billions) keeps the uninformed happy to march along like little toy soldiers.

Doctors do basically already work for the state, they are for all intents and purposes state employees. Governement contributes 50% of all health care dollars and around 40% come from third party contributers that are also heavy regulated. I don’t think its a secret that fed-ex and UPS do a better job than the post office, its becuase one is paid for personally and the other is paid through taxes.

Also as far as the 1%, your buddy Barack and your enemy Romney are both bought and sold for by thoes 1%ers. So either way by supporting one of them your getting screwed by propaganda IMHO.

Fed-Ex and UPS cost 20 times what the post office does. To mail an overnight letter out of state is $54. To mail it 3 day (which is about as fast as the Post Office) is over $10. The post office does it for 45 cents. So while they may not be as “efficient”, they do the job reasonably well for the money.

You kind of skirted my points a bit and went straight after my analogy there. I am not looking for a debate on the pros and cons of the post office vs. private options. Although I do think you get what you pay for in that case and most other cases when it comes to govt services. Which leads me back to my point that healthcare already for all intents and purposes is a government service which I believe is the biggest reason the industry is a mess.

I only built on your analogy by showing for the money, the post office actually does a great job. Do you use UPS or Fed-Ex for your personal mail?

There is no question the government could run more efficiently. My point is there are plenty of things they do that individuals, for the most part, can’t do themselves. Monitor air travel, build infrastructures, etc.

There is place for private enterprise and a place for government. Each has a purpose.

I also do not necessarily agree with your broad brush statement that the health industry is currently run by the government. It’s regulated, but not run. And under Obamacare, the exchanges will be set up and monitored by the state, but the coverage will be underwritten by individual carriers.

Whether or not the plan is sustainable as written is a whole other question. We just don’t know yet.

I almost never use mail anymore as everything can be done online but when I do mail things I always use Fed-Ex, unless it is work related/from my office where I have no options other than the post office. But I know that is not the norm, and I don’t disagree governemnt has a place but I am a firm beleiver that its place should always be the very very very last resort. I don’t see why air travel can’t be done by a private company, or build roads, or infrastructer. If anything it will have more accountablitiy and be done more efficently(I could go on for days about how I think the roads here are terribly run/built lol). I know it will cost more but wasn’t the whole stimulus package about spending more anyway? Why not make it private spending rather than public? (which reminds me that GDP, the way it is calculated, is a joke. But that a whole other arguement)

I can see that we just fundamentally disagree about the healthcare industry and that is fine, although most who disagree resort to name calling, it is not hard to see all sides (i hate just saying both sides) has legit points and that they will just always disagree on a few foundations which spurs these out of control arguements lol. I just have my own side which I think is best. My father is a doctor and he is so fed up with the over regualtions that I am working with him now to set up a practice that doesn’t accept medicare. And I am not even really talking about Obamacare and what changes that will bring to the industry although I don’t see how it will help very much with the overregulation. However I can see your points on how the govenrment provides service when needed but I respectively disagree. I think that more private industry responsibilities/less regulations would benefit us.

What I have described is what Obama and Reid have already indicated. They cannot institute single payer right away, so this is their answer. They have told their supporters single payer is coming, but it will take 10 or 15 years to get there. What I outlined previously is how they will do it. If don’t believe do some research, and also really read the bill. I did.

Who cares if we have never heard of Benghazi before Fox News, Rush and O’Reilly turned it into a political football? We are outraged that 4 Americans died and we weren’t told of the facts as they were unfolding! Impeach the President! Hmmm…I wonder if we look and sound stupid that we have never had an issue of Americans dying in the Middle East until now? Maybe it’s because those were U.S. soldiers and part of the 47% that rely on the government for hand-outs? Well anyways, back to pushing Benghazi…

      Captain:

Obviously you don’t know insurance. You pay for claims with premiums. Non-used premiums are used to build captial. Capital is used for profit + payment of claims.

Cutting the amount of each dollar that can go into investments for capital growth (from 30% to 20%) is making sure the health industry cannot build capital for claims.

In order for a free market system to work, the companies have to be able to build capital. If you honestly believe the limiting in investments doesn’t hinder capital growth you’re a fool.

      Further:

Undoubtedly the private insurance industry can pay more for health services than the government. The government should only get involved in certain areas, like possibly paying doctor visit deductibles. That’s about the only way they could encourage people to go in more.

The government has the following equation: Taxed premiums minus costs = Your coverage. This means the government has a needed profit as a part of the system. You don’t like profit, but they need it to run.

The health care industry has the following euqation: Premiums + (non paid premium capital growth) = Total payable for claims.

If you are so ignorant to believe the government system could ever pay out more than private, you are lying to yourself.

WOW. As we get closer to the election, the words get ugly. I’d like to see all covered by insurance. It would be great if everyone had a car with insurance and we had highways that did not need repairs. The issue here is not that I (can’t speak for others) hate BO care, but who is going to pay the bills. The article says as it promotes BOCare, that new young healthy people will add policies. It also says that they will be subsidized by the government. How does a government that is $16,trillion in debt cover 30 million new people? What is the tipping point for the dollar. Because the reality is that if and when we reach the tipping point, the hyper inflation will prevent all of us from paying and the government from giving us insurance.

Some had posted about Romney’s flipflops. They are over a long period of time and in the past few years he’s maintained fairly steady. How about some real FlipFlops!

“I’ll resign if I don’t cut the deficit in half by the end of four years.”
“I will end Income Tax for seniors making less than $50K a year.”.
    I promise that I support traditional marriage-1 man-1 woman.
“I promise 100% transparency in my administration.”.
“I promise NO NEW TAXES on a family making less than $250K a year.”.
“I will allow 5 days of public comment before I sign any bills.”.
“I will remove earmarks from PORK projects before I sign any bill.”.
“I will bring ALL of our troops home within ONE year.”
“I’ll put the Health Care negotiations on CSPAN so everyone can see who is at the table!”.
“I’ll have no lobbyists in my administration.”
    “I’ll close Guantanamo.”
“I’ll unite the people of this great country.
First President to apply for college aid as a foreign student, then deny he was a foreigner.
First President to preside over a cut to the credit-rating of the United States.
First President to violate the War Powers Act..
First President to be held in contempt of court for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.
First President to require all Americans to purchase a product from a third party.
First President to spend a trillion dollars on ‘shovel-ready’ jobs when there was no such thing as ‘shovel-ready’ jobs.
First president to get a college grant as a foreign exchange student
First president to have known affiliation with the Chicago based under ground

If you question who said the above. A hint, his presidency will end on Jan 20, 2013….

Agreed. I look forward to educated conversations and not the name calling. However that is limited on TV and thus far limited in these blogs. The reality is this great country gives us the right to have different opinions and that right, allows us to disagree. However we have to control our actions and our anger. We also have to increase our ability to compromise or we will not live in a great country any longer and that will not be anyone’s fault but our own.

I just want to point out to you, as someone who went to and graduated from college, that EVERYONE who attends college will apply for every possible grant or scholarship they are possibly eligible for. I have a friend who is .00000008 Native American which made him eligible for pretty much a free ride in his home state of Oklahoma. Being blond haired and blue eyed and from a well to do family, he didn’t feel a need to pursue that path. I am a US citizen, my husband is from Ivory Coast. Our daughter was born in the US. I actually am greatful for your comments because I will definitely have her look into those grants when/if she plans to go to college. Thank you for the information!

Republicans do not jump on band wagons. Think what you want, to be a republican you have to become one. This is not true of democrats. Most people just are democrats at a young age.

Look at the numbers of youngin’s who are against racism, are tolerant of gays, etc.

Your problem is your view of republicans is so ghastly wrong it’s absurd. Republicans switch with educated facts (except for a small minority of 33% of youth who are republican from a young age and are dumb as hell).

And further: You don’t do your research. In our debate I showed that if you made less aggregate loans to people at poverty level, using CRA it is grounds for a suit. I showed you the rating.

You don’t research your own facts, you listen to others state their facts. You aren’t a leader, you are a follower.

When you learn not to be on a band wagon, you might get more respectful replies.

There will always be a 1%. Personally, I will take the 1% made up of rich people who will give me a job and the opportunity to get within at least the 10%. You can take the 1% that will be the tyrannical rulers. If you think that 1% will ever let you in, you’re wrong. They are the ones that want to be the “massahs” as you say. They’ll give you what they think you need and come down hard if you want to leave the plantation.

As, I believe, Benjamin Franklin said, the government that can give you everything can also take it away. He or Thomas Jefferson also said that democracy’s last until the public realize they can vote in politicins that will give them what they want. As these two very scary predictions become reality in the USA, it makes you wonder what our future holds.

Dana Corporation, employing 20,000+ workers is cutting way back. It also cites all the Coal Mines/plants being closed down by EPA. The people of West Virginia are pleading with Romney to save their jobs. When Sequestration is implemented in January, 700,000 more in the Defense Industry will lose their jobs. Obama didn’t want them to notify employees until after the election. If all this comes to pass, your bogus 7.8% unemployment rate will be over 10%. This isn’t the way to recover the economy, is it? I know Economics is not your strong suit so I don’t expect you to understand this bad news.

Well said PM. I will add a couple of Obama promises to your list.

“We will use American resources to stabilize US energy needs including gasoline prices while we seek new alternatives”. I guess that means windmills made in China and bankrupt solar companies. Forget about oil resources and coal.

” I will be the president of all Americans not just those who voted fo me” Well, enough said about that.

As far as Benghazi, it was a cluster **ck. You had some very brave seals fight off ever incraesing numbers for 7 hours while our ( The Liar in Chief) President went to bed. There were military resources an hour away. He got up the next morning and blamed it on a spontaneous riot caused by a video. Really, I guess those RPGs and heavy assault weapons combined with the fact that it was on 9/11 was just a coincidence? Then over the next 2 to 3 weeks he referenced the video 23 times including no less than 6 times in front of the United Nations on Spetember 23rd. Then he stands up in a debate and manipulates what he said on day 2 (essentially lying) in front of the country. I blame Obama, Clinton and Patraeous for this shameful loss of American life. It is no wonder that the majority of those serving in the military have no respect for Obama or Clinton. Those soldiers died fighting to save Americans and I understand they saved several. God bless them and their families. If that does not cause you to vote them out of office next week then I guess nothing will.

Why did he fly off to Vegas the next day for fundraising and put out the bogus story for 6 weeks? Why did he have Gen Ham arrested and fired for trying to rescue the Ambassador when we had forces an hour away? If you are watching a live stream from a drone for 6 hours watching Americans die, how much more intelligence do you need to take action? Our Special Forces could have taken care of these Terrorists in about 5 minutes and had our people on a helicopter to safety. You can’t spin your way out of this Libby and neither can your President.

OK Agemt. I know how you love to spew propaganda, but if you want the truth here it is:

“A team of American military commandos was sent from Europe to an airfield at Sigonella, in Sicily, Italy, putting them at least an hour’s flight away from Benghazi… But U.S. officials say it did not arrive in Sicily until after the attack was over.”

“An audio feed of the attack was being monitored in real time in Washington by diplomatic security official Charlene Lamb. CBS News has learned that video of the assault was recovered 20 days later from the more than 10 security cameras at the compound.”

The President was not watching the attack real time, as there was no such video available at that time. Help was dispatched, but it didn’t make it there in time.

And the press conference I am referring to is the one Romney stuck his foot in his mouth about during the debate.

Now, what other useless fodder do I need to fact check now that we got that straight?

Hi Sargent. Sorry about what happened to your Tigers. I think it may have been a combination of a long layoff and meeting a hot team who could do no wrong. I am glad the Tigers re-hired Leyland. I respect hims as a manager. Perhaps next year.

Have you noticed that the nastiest comments on this forum come from the Progressive side? They cannot defend the indefensable so they make nasty remarks and go right back to blaming Bush. I think they are paranoid when they see their guy losing the election so their venom spews on any subject. For any step Libby takes toward our viewpoints, she takes 5 steps backward into the morass of Progressive thought.

Libby, stop it, you are disrupting the narrative again. The narrative is, Obama is evil and was actually watching Americans die in real time. And, if you actually believe that, I have both some magic underpants to sell you AND a story concerning how Bush knew about and helped orchestrate the planes crashing into the Twin Towers. Besides, President Obama isn’t even a United States citizen. That, and he is both a radical Christian and a Muslim (who drinks beer and eats pork, by the way), he is both a spineless empty suit puppet but also a forceful dictator, he is a socialist but he bows down to Wall Street, do I need to go on? I mean, just how much spaghetti did The Right originally throw on the wall, anyhow? Complete insanity. Or, as I like to call it, complete Sean Ins-Hannity. What will they “drudge” up next? Maybe we can get some more edited Fox of Breitbart footage. Or, maybe Mitt will just keep lying about The President like he did with Jeep just earlier this week. Or, about anything that comes out of his mouth for that matter. He is, indeed, a bullsh!tter.

Planet, do you see now why many in this forum think you are from a different Planet? Do you see why many think you need a frontal lobotomy to erase all this Progressive nonsense you put out? You must be kin to Rosanne Barr to believe Bush orchestrated the twin towers Terrorist attack. Many of the things you rail about are all over the internet and have been proven true. If they are not, why doesn’t he hold a press conference and clear it all up on Libya on why they failed to protect American citizens in harms way or why they arrested and fired Gen Ham for trying to rescue the Ambassador and Seals? I know it is more important that he rescue Big Bird, but inquiring minds would like to know.

The water has been very muddy for the last 4 years and we have had enough of the doublespeak of this President and his administration. Yet.

When we do find out, let’s make sure any wrongdoers, including Obama if that’s the case, are punished and let’s correct whatever went wrong so that it doesn’t happen again.

It’s more than a mistake. He lied. He still has not said that Gitmo Detainee had anything to do with it. He called him a consulate for the U.S. just following the attack.

He didn’t even say the man was in question.

He’s hiding the fact that a Gitmo Detainee is very likely involved, mainly because he released 5 gitmo detainees in March/April, and promised to release 55 more just after the attack.

This is more than a slip up.

This is very clearly him trying to play the side of “those poor gitmo detainees, I’m letting them go and shutting down the ineffective gitmo” while simultaneously not suffering the bad publicity of what happens when Gitmo Detainees are let go.

We are talking about known terrorists being held in Gitmo being called a bad thing. That’s how he ran.

Water boarding led to Osama’s killer. Before CNN backtracked and said Waterboarding had nothing to do with it, nor Abu, (different Abu) they said it likely was abu (see slip up here http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/05/03/bin.laden.courier/index.html)

Then they said it only may have been him. Technically true.

Then they said it wasn’t the waterboarding.

But wait, that man was held in prison since the early 2000’s, was tortured in 2007, and that’s the same year the info came out. But no no, it wasn’t the waterboarding was CNN’s argument. My question: Then what the hell was it? Half a decade of not being tortured didn’t break him. 1 year of torture did.

If Obama had his way, that man would have been let go.

He campaigned against Gitmo. Gitmo got Osama, Obama then championed the capture as if he was for the policies that got Osama. Let me be clear: If there were no Gitmo, there would be no Osama death.

He let go of Gitmo Detainees. He’s playing all sides.

He knew about Abu (Sufirian this time, not the one that led to Osama) being a suspect. All he had to say was Abu was a suspect for God’s sakes. Instead he found another source to take the heat off himself, a Youtube video. It was a Gitmo detainee suspect as he announced releasing the rest of the detainees and closing down Gitmo. You really think he wanted people knowing a Gitmo Detainee was a suspect?

This was not a mistake. This was a cover up and politics to save his ass in the campaign. Learn the difference.

I assume you are talking about Abu Sufian bin Qumu. If so, he was not released by Obama, he was released by Bush.

“Qumu was held in the U.S. military’s Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba until the Bush administration released him to Libya Sept. 28, 2007, on the condition Libya keep him in jail.

The regime of leader Moammar Gadhafi later freed him from Tripoli’s notorious Abu Salim prison in an amnesty program as part of a reconciliation effort with Islamists.”

Why do you have to be so condescending with your “Learn the difference” remark?

It appears you know no more about what happened in Benghazi than anyone else does right now. But that doesn’t stop you from getting on your “Obama Lied” soapbox. Just because you say it, doesn’t make it true.

You will find sources trying to state that Abu Sufurian had nothing to do with it. Liberal ones.

But if anyone thinks he did, and he was in the area, he is a suspect. And he should not be called a U.S. ally. He should be investigated, and we should know about it.

Obama has still not stated the man was even considered as a suspect. He is very likely the guy, despite what liberal sources say.

Regardless, a mistake is temporary. He is still not putting out there that Abu is a suspect, solely to play all sides and save his gitmo closing ass.

And then try to LIE about it? The answer is NO!

Mistakes were made, that is for sure. Where and who is yet to be determined. So quit jumping the gun, climb off of the propaganda train, and join reality.

What has it been now, over 6 weeks and he is saying the investigation is ongoing? If this is true, everyone else that has been paying attention knows more than he does. There are reports I have seen of him meeting with Penetta & Clinton within hours of the start of the attack. I guess they were formulating their plan to say it was the video that caused the problem. You know what, Nixon had his issues with Watergate and lying about what went down and it caused his impeachment and no one got killed in that political mess. Obama thinks by saying they have an ongoing investigation, he can ride it out until after the election. If he were a real leader, he would have convened the National Security Council, ordered the rescue before we lost American lives and brought these people home alive instead of in caskets. Instead, he went to bed and then got on AF1 and went to Vegas to raise funds the next day while he had his minions lying for weeks. Hillary even told the father of one of the SEALs that she would have the video maker arrested. Considering the facts that came out later, her reputation is tarnished forever and frankly I am surprised she fell on her sword for this President.

It is interesting that they have nothing to say about the issue and try to come up with some inaccurate excuse that generally has nothing to do with what the issue really is. So libby comments that Bush sent troops to Iraq for bad intell. Well, that intell went before congress and all of the Congressional Reps, but 1, agreed to send troops including Senator Clinton. And Oh by the way, I guess Saddam Hussein who was a huge promoter of Terrorist training in Iraq don’t count. lastly, she must have forgotten that Barry Obama not only did not end the war with Iraq in a year (like he promised) but escalated the war in Afghanistan and started a third with Libiya. So, sending troops in harms way is not a problem for Barry. He sleeps well at night.

My brain works just fine and you and Planet have drank so much liberal Koolaid, you just swallow what the Information Ministry feeds you hook, line and sinker. All your guy has to do is hold a Press Conference and answer the tough questions for a change about how he and his minions screwed up and didn’t save our people from Islamic Terrorists. Instead, he would rather save Big Bird from Romney’s cut backs. Your side is losing this argument and you just can’t stand it. Sargent and I have both been in the Military and we know their capability. This should never have happened on any President’s watch when there was time to save them.

I’m sure once he knows exactly what happened there will be a press conference. He already made one mistake going on record about the video being the cause of the attack. He’s not going to jump the gun and rush to judgement again. He has taken responsibility for the attack and any mistakes that may have been made. He’ll wait until he has all the answers and then he will present the facts. Until then, he is doing the right thing.

I agree, your guy has gained momentum. Can I stand it? Yes, but I don’t like it. I, unlike you, do not feel a need to jump up and down and call the election a foregone conclusion. I am willing to wait until next Tuesday to see how it all shakes out.

I want Obama to win, but it will not be the end of the status quo if he doesn’t. The rich will continue to get richer on the backs of the working people. They’ll just be able to do it quicker with their guy behind them. Actually, it might hurry up the revolt that is at hand. The poor and downtrodden will not put up with the wealthy taking everything and leaving nothing for others for much longer.

Coverups and lies do not make it with the American People. Obama has painted himself into a corner on this whopper and just hopes he can delay saying anything until after the election and the folks won’t press him on it. A real President would have admitted to mistakes in judgment that resulted in the deaths of innocent Americans and would have shown compassion for the families of the victims. We actually have to have bi-partisan support for this instead of a government saying it is our way or the highway. At least Romney got some things done in Massachusetts with a heavy Democratic majority there. This President wanted none of that and he had super majorities in Congress and still had a lot of trouble getting it passed. Is it any wonder that we have so much angst in our society right now about this government and what they have done the past 4 years. It is time for a fresh start.

He was also a graduate of West Point with a masters in public government. He could teach you alot about respect for the Commander-in-Chief if he were still here. Instead, he gave his life for this country and my right to say what I believe. I am proud of my father, as he was a hero, and as a military man he would never the say the kinds of things you say about our President out of respect for his rank.

Libby, We have never had a Commander In Chief with such reckless disregard for what is happening in this world. Everyone with any sense realizes that Mubarak was not a nice person, but he was a major part of the reason the Middle East remained somewhat stable, and he was definitely our ally and even Israel’s ally. Obama supported his overthrow because he is either clueless about foreign affairs and how to keep the peace or he leans towards supporting the muslims of this world. He doesn’t deserve the respect that you so sorely want to give him. He is the worst thing that could have ever happened to this country. He doesn’t even consider Russia a threat and joked when Romney mentioned it. He is CLUELESS when it comes to foreign policy. Strong mililtary makes for peace, but he wants to defund and he has said publically over and over again that he isn’t funding the military becuase they haven’t asked for the funds. Damn, he is the Commander In Chief! They shouldn’t have to request funding, he should be smart enough to know that a strong military keeps the peace!!!!

That’s claiming and owning war 3 on the same time frame as Bush, despite being in the office for 2 years before doing so. So he owns Iraq war 3.

Troops in Afghanistan at the end of Bush’s presidency. Compare it to the amount in Afghanistan during Obama’s surge, and after Obama’s surge.

Obama explicitly stated that he was shifting the fight to Afghanistan rather than Iraq. But Iraq was already over, we had an agreed on date before he took office.

He didn’t change anything, other than more troops in a surge to Afghanistan. These are facts. If you WTF them you are plainly not well informed.

The WTF was for the last paragraph. First off, Libya is not a war so no, it doesn’t count. The other 2 wars were courtesy of George W. Bush. He inherited them. That makes him NOT responsible for them. Bush has, is, and always will be responsible for them both.

I’m going to be clear: When you agree on the withdrawal timeline of Bush? You inherited and continued the war. Like it or not Bush acted on information given. As soon as we were at war he had no choice. Just like Obama. I hold Bush accountable for STAYING in Iraq. This is where you foolishly think I support him. I hold INTELLIGENCE responsible for the war, as well as every democrat, including Hillary, Biden, Al Gore, and John Edwards, who voted for it. They had the intelligence in hand. The same intelligence Bush looked at. They waved it in his face and said if he didn’t act we were all screwed. Bush in public didn’t give that pressure. They did. It created a need for war and accountability. You may have forgotten I HAVE NOT. The threat then against Bush was if you don’t go here, you will be accountable. So on Iraq: Everyone screwed up. Then we were all screwed with the bill so to speak. When Obama agrees on the withdrawal date, he inherits the same screw up Bush did, with the same time table bush had. Iraq is his.

Afghanistan is not Bush’s war. Obama ran stating afghanistan was Bush’s weakness, said Bush didn’t pursue it enough, and said we would shift our war to the true people who attacked us. He surged troops to higher than that of Bush’s presidency, and backed off when he realized you weren’t as much of a drone as he thought, and you dems finally thought for yourself and said HEY. GET OUT OF AFGHANISTAN YOU ASSHOLE. Only and I repeat ONLY after republicans said HEY GET OUT OF AFGHANISTAN YOU ASSHOLE.

You don’t see this DOES happen back and forth. In this case, republicans are stopping those wars. Obama took the same withdrawal date for Iraq, and escalated Afghanistan. This is NOT an opinion.

Regarding Libya: It does not matter if we redefine what military action is. Go ask Ghadaffi and his people if he considered as at war with him. The answer… IS YES. If they don’t like us, they will fight. We got LUCKY to not have a war on our hands, and it WAS a military action that could have back fired.

Libya is his, and it is conflict 3 for him.

            It counts.

You will go to any lengths to defend your hero, Bush. But I’ll say it again, “Just because you say it, doesn’t make it true.”

Obama inherited 2 wars and the economy. He inherited both from the Bush administration. Blaming him for using the same timeline for getting out of Iraq doesn’t make any sense. He did what he said he would do. He got us out of Iraq. He didn’t say he was using a new timeline to do it.

Afghanistan is a big clusterf**k. I agreed at the time we needed to either fully retreat or beef up our troops. One or the other. We were getting nowhere with what was being done (inherited by Bush). He made a change. Not one you agree with, I understand. But he’s hardly responsible for us being there in the first place.

Libya – say what you want, but we lost not one American life during that strike. And I’d love to ask old Ghadafi, but he’s dead. Thank you Obama.

He apparently didn’t know that Russia had been there for 10 years at the expense of much blood and treasure when they were trying to set up a puppet regime of the Soviet Union. They finally had to give up and move out when they couldn’t win. Bush didn’t know what he was getting into either. He did clean out the Taliban, but look what it was replaced by. Obama thought he could wave his magic wand and everything would be good to go. Not! We have been there 11 years now. It is the 21st Century version of Viet Nam. We all know how that turned out.

            Agent,

            I remember that as well.

And I called him taking credit for Iraq with the same time line before it happened.

I also called the Gitmo intelligence leading to Osama, and him taking credit. Of course I thought he would have closed Gitmo, which would have made him look pretty stupid taking credit, but then again, I just underestimated him in intelligence. I would have kept it open while I caught Osama too. otherwise, when people asked where the info came from, I wouldn’t be able to claim credit if it was from a place I disagreed with, through tactics I went after the president for.

That’s why he was oddly silent and told everyone he wasn’t pursuing Bush for war crimes for the torture.

Even independents told him to go after Bush.

Common sense Libby, he specifically backed off to save his butt.

Libby, I thank your father for his service to this country and my condolences for his passing. My father, a 2 tour combat veteran (Marine Corp) has also passed. He was a Reagan Democrat.

Let me give you a lesson. Soldiers ALWAYS stand behind their Commander in Chief, ALWAYS. Why? because they are soldiers and that is their duty and responsibility. That does not mean they have to like or respect the man behind the position. They respect the position of “Commander In Chief”. It has happened many times. In Vietnam, very few soldiers would say they loved or even respected Lyndon Johnson. In Korea, many of the soldiers needed to figure out why they were in Korea and why it was called a “police action” and not a war by Harry Truman. So having respect and doing their duty is two separate and distinct issues.
I have total respect for the Office of the President and Commander In Chief. The problem we have is someone who needs to be replaced.

You do so in a much more cry baby partisan manner that is typical of liberals. You cry about trickle down for pete’s sakes. Even most democrats don’t debate that one anymore if they are a center democrat. I can’t even go into words how many times you’ve made comments on the rich.

Thanks for trying out! But your comments…Are generally lacking substance. I don’t care who you got them from. I care about the accuracy and methodology.

DS, it is 3 wars- 1.) Irag, he did not end the war as promised in 08 when he ran for office, 2.) Afghanistan, he escalted the war and sent more troops to Afghanistan and war number 3.) he helped with the war in Libiya. We don’t have ground troops in Libiya but he was involved.

Perplexed- Obama has an AKA of Barry Soetoro. His step fathers last name was Soetoro and he used that name when they lived in Indonesia. His step father supposedly adopted him and he went to Indonesian schools as Barry Soetoro. While in Indonesia it is believed he also renounced any US Citzenship he may have had because you can’t or could not at that time hold dual citizenship in Indonesia. He was known as Barry for years (His father was also called Barry) until he came home from college one day and said “I am no longer Barry, I am Barack and want to be called Barack”. Who knows if or when he ever changed his name back to Obama om Soetoro but hey, he got elected anyway. There is no reason anyone can’t call him Barry Sotoro Obama etc.

Libby said- Why should any President have to show college transcripts to anyone? It’s nobody’s business.

Well transcripts were an issue when Bush was elected. They wanted his college records, his military records etc. Oh yes, his opponent did not serve in the military so He did not have any records.

So why disclose college records? To prove who you are and that you are not a “Dodo Bird” as you would say.

I tend to believe that since it took him such a long time to show his birth certificate that it could be counterfeit. if not, is he just so arrogant that he thinks no one can question him about anything? One could surmise that since he doesn’t feel obliged to answer any questions about Benghazi. And DON’T repeat that they are still investigating. WH knows full well what went down.If not, the entire bunch of thugs needs to vacate the premises.

Actually Libby, the only certifiable member of the KKK in Congress was the honorable Robert Byrd (D-WV) and proud of it most of his life. He used to ride the ponies at night with a sheet over his head and see if he and his cohorts could find a black to hang. He finally apologized for his racist thug behavior when he was an old man and about to die, but his record is there for everyone to see. It is not surprising that he voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

We are getting off topic. The important thing is we kill this bill. It is full of tax hikes, and problems for us including 16000 new irs agents. How fun is that!!! If it remains we will be beholden to Washington for our health care, because they will effectively control the system. They are already mandating laws, procedures and costs (for instance software) which are driving doctors out of business and the profession. This is serious, regardless of how we finance our health care, it would be nice to know it would be there. That’s not the case now.

Amazing how many birthers are among us here on IJ. Sgt Major sounds like the biggest birther of the bunch. You guys have been raped with this thought of Obama being an “other”. In this case, it’s okay to abort. Mitt says so, than he says not to, then he says it’s okay again, backs a guy who doesn’t believe in it, and releases a campaign note that says it’s okay again.

Iraq – President Obama is ending the war.
Afghanistan – President Obama is ending the war and he got Bin Laden.
Libya – never was a “war” but again, got the guy didn’t he?

Thanks for trying out, Sgt. Major!

Obama did not get Bin Laden. He used Bush’s info obtained from water boarding. I can give you the MSNBC slip up article stating who led to Osama, and then give you an article from the CIA chief intelligence interview from CBS stating that Abu (there are two, one from Benghazi and one from Afghanistan) was water boarded, and had not given the info until after he broke from the torture. That’s something Obama would not have done. I’m sorry, Obama doesn’t get credit for telling someone to act on Bush’s information.

Central part of the state got hammered, 2-3 feet of snow in some places. Lots of power outages.
Obama would like nothing better than to shut WV and the coal industry down. He can’t get it done through legislation, so he’s using his pit-bull EPA to do his dirty work. As you might guess, he hasn’t done a lot of campaigning here.
Manchin is keeping a low profile as he runs for re-election, trying to convince people he’s really not in Obama’s pocket. Unfortunately, he’ll win – voters in this state never learn.

What I don’t understand is why Mancin is not standing up for the people of WV? I have not seen one statement from him on any forum railing against the EPA or this President about shutting your major industry down there. I know he is a Democrat, but he is supposed to represent the people of the state who elected him. Does he have a chance of getting beat?

Unfortunately, he’ll win, and most likely with a pretty good majority. He was a decent governor, he’s “likeable,” and he’s a Democrat. It’s hard to understand because he’s certainly not representing the majority of WV’s people, just like our other Obama-phile, Jay Rockefeller.

If we had such a person in Texas, he would be shown the door. Perhaps he is better than the deceased Robert Byrd who was a proud member of the KKK for much of his life. He led the league is racism and the people didn’t hold him accountable and kept re-electing him.

He steered much government money to his state of WV, which is why he was continually re-elected and was the longest-serving member in the history of the United States Congress.

Bob, you are nothing like Captain. Don’t flatter yourself.

As far as disagreeing, I do disagree. And the last time I checked, I have that right in this country. So telling me to stop is in essence un-American.

And I have many, many, in fact a majority, of my friends that are Republican. We have lively debates where we are respectful of each others views and I do course-correct when necessary.

You have never been respectful to me or my views or my right to have those views. And yes, some of my views are just that. Views. They’re not facts or statistics I can rattle off like you do. That doesn’t make them any less valid to me.

Half the “facts” posted on here by others are complete bullshit, but you do not dispute them. The fact that you continue to berate and belittle me, and no-one else, is proof you are a bully. At least I argue with everyone I disagree with, which happens to be the majority on this particular blog. I don’t single out just one person like you do. Bully.

Her’s and Planets brains have been soaked in Progressive Liberal ideology so long that they are beyond hope. If they disagree with truth, they resort to name calling just like their leaders do. Libby has actually teased us by making a few statements we agree with and then she has a relapse into her hate filled ideology against Conservatives. She is really upset that her guy is losing and rails against us for having the winning arguments. She thinks her guy has been “Noble & Honest” with the American People even when he is caught in a web of lies and deceit like Benghazi and cannot spin his way out of it.

But being constantly barraged by unproductive attacks, like this one, had flipped a switch in me that I really didn’t like. Not human decency.

That other guy, look at him.

That’s the path to evil. Trust me on that one.

When you can’t look at yourself because you’re busy pointing at someone else, you yourself can justify treating anyone, any way, that you want.

This is bully libby. I’ve even read on it, in “how to deal with bullies” books. A bully does not know they are a bully. They believe they are attacking someone who deserves it. As you admitted, you just have to attack that 95% of right wingers.

They don’t believe they have done anything wrong, because their actions are the results of someone else.

          I could go on…But you’ve not read on it…And you don’t know you’re a bully.

Further on the apology front: I’m not looking for an apology. I only mentioned a prior debate.

But you are so happy to take up the argument as today’s fight…

I have, on occasion, gone too far and something I regretted. When that happens, I readily apologize. And think I may have even done it once to you.

Romney has not been in office the past 4 years doing tremendous damage to the economy and country and Obama has. Instead of giving Romney the benefit of the doubt and giving him a chance to right the ship, you just run him down like your other Progressive friends and think it would be a colossal mistake to elect him. This country is going down the drain unless we wake up and change course. Well, Agent, you are entitled to your opinion but I’d like to point out that you don’t know me. I do not like Romney and do not want to give him a chance to cram his ideals down my throat.

I defend Obama because I think he’s done alot of good things and let’s face it, he didn’t have much to work with. It is easy to criticize when you are the Monday morning quarterback.

On this blog, the comments are so outrageous and derogatory I felt a need to point out there are two sides to every story. But my responses to your extremism got just as bad as yours. I acknowledge that and intend to temper myself. You do what you want.

I have been out of line in the past.

I do often call people morons when they come on here foaming at the mouth insulting someone with a fact that they themselves didn’t research.

In this post alone you’ve told people to do their research when you were aggitated with the side who destroyed our society.

From my point of view, your side did. I don’t fight quite as hardcore as you with liberals here.

So I must be the worse guy for “pretending” to be nice….That’s what I’m doing right?

Read my post where I said I am more accurately describe as “ruffled feathers”. That is admission of myself getting riled up, for the same technical “reasons” as you.

          Don’t kid yourself.

Planet doesn’t have an ounce of class. He’s talking about farts in his insults against Romney, and intentionally does humor insults to get Agent to reply seriously, and then reply he was joking as a result. He’s playing with Agent.

What you don’t realize is me and Planet are alike. The reason he doesn’t reply is a bully is very similar to the people they bully, they have common factors, but then they are worlds apart. The bully fights, the bullied fights back. You will always see two people fighting like crazy. One is always the bully in that circumstance. Chances are the person throwing around fart words, and enticing people into falling into the Joke bait trap Planet did intentionally are the bully. It was a double meaning very particular comment. Maybe planet was serious, maybe he wasn’t. He didn’t want agent to know. That wording was not a mistake. He wanted Agent confused, and then he wanted to say “hey lighten up and laugh it was a joke”. Rapists operate the same way Libby. They say they were “joking” when they do sexual innuendo to start. This is also what bullies do. They put out a joke, so their bullying can be accepted, or seen as non-serious. Look this shit the hell up. I’m quite well versed thank you very much. I spotted Planet early on.

There is a knowing in the air when they meet. They are similar in some ways.

Planet avoids me out of that knowing. Planet knows I spotted his Agent trap crap. He’s trying to position Agent. He’s used to being able to do it. But he knows he wouldn’t stand a chance in hell against my arguments.

He’s picking who he’s going to bully. Pay attention to who he responds to and how.

I respond to everyone. This means I am not choosing who to reply to based on some criteria. Bullies choose their victims, and who they will reply to. It’s a form of control. Which is what bullies like.

          Planet is bully old school.

You know what people say, don’t you Bob? You tend to not like in others what you do not like about yourself.

You do not respond to everyone. Mainly you respond to me and occasionally Captain. I don’t see you replying to many others.
You have chosen your victim to bully and her name is Libby. I spotted you a mile off, but refuse to allow you to bully me. I will fight back.

And FYI – rapists rarely start off with sexual innuendo because rape has nothing to do with sex and everything to do with power. Something you are obviously after in a big way.

Wrong. On the rape front again the methodology. Rapists do start off with innuendo, to see what they can get away with.

On the power correct. The power does not contradict my statement. Learn what contradicts and what doesn’t. Seriously.

On to the understanding people: Wrong again. With this logic any observation you make of me is really an element of yourself. This means you cannot possibly make an observation outside of yourself. That cliche line works in your child like brain, but not with someone who is quite logical and intelligent.

          Planet did play with Agent.

That phrase was worded a way which was clearly a joke, but clearly was a get out of jail free joke as I call it. It could fall the other way if Planet wanted to. It made it so no one could attack him. Let me tell you this: NO ONE speaks or sets up like planet did on that phrase.

With the exception of one group type: People 60 plus who have learned these tactics.

Hey planet: What’s your age? Given the way you just did that I can tell a whole lot about you. Originally I thought you were 50. You aren’t. You’re older. I can tell. I’m guessing pushing 70 on the low end. How close am I?

And yes, Planet gives off bully vibes. Do you know how my grandfather acts to win people over? HE IS a rapist. On my mother’s side. He ruined lives. And let me tell you, Planet just set up the convo style he’s done every day of his life.

      Captain:

If you didn’t catch the sarcasm:

A bully is a guy who talks condescending, laughs at the person he’s debating with, insults the person’s ability to take a joke while doing that, (what you did to Agent in this post) and then ends his post with “thanks for trying out!” while “supposedly” pointing out a triad of facts, but never responding to the facts that counter his point.

Captain, you aren’t calling the Bully. You’re calling out the social guy who ate bullies as a youngin’.

I know bullies. Have you ever been bullied Captain?

Here’s a way of finding out: Are you a member of a group?
Do you make ridiculous catch lines (thanks for trying out) and ally with your groups in insulting people with absurd stretches? (Libby is all I have to say here)
Were you wrong in some of your details, and used those details to bully another with a catch phrase (thanks for trying out, connected to Obama ending Iraq, a lie, Obama catching Osama, he didn’t and wouldn’t have were it not for Bush water boarding Abu,)

Most importantly, do you debate relevant facts, or do you call people by derogatory terms in politics? (tea baggers, etch a sketch, Robney,)

      Hmm…

Bully much Planet? I know bully. I’m the guy who actually you would call “ruffled feathers” but not bully.

That’s realism bud. I don’t have to feel like a big boy. I certainly don’t have to back down either. Do you feel like a big boy when you debate Agent hardcore? Let’s quit with the big talk Captain and the attempts to belittle people.

      Got that much?

In fact, I’ve stopped debating folks over our Muslim President. Anyone with an IQ over 60 can see through his political rhetoric (lies). I find it hilarious the people voting for him happen to be the people who have already lost their job, are in the process of losing their job, work for a company/corporation going under or are unemployed.

Get ready for Sharia Law in 2015(ish). It’s amazing how many women like this President. Under Sharia Law, you will lose ALL of the rights you currently have. Don’t blame the Republicans in two years when you are suffering like no other time in the history of the USA. If Obummer wins, that time is coming. Guaranteed. It is all about Economics now and I think a lot of women will vote their purse this time.

I am married. I am a feminist. I am an insurance agent. I am a liberal. I guess I don’t fit into the little boxes you have for women.

Ah hell with it, Libby and Agent:

In order to finally show that I am not some right wing moron, here goes:

Whether or not women vote with republicans or not doesn’t really show whether or not women are supported by republicans.

This is shown true by how many women republicans believe are fooled to vote democrat with promises of a better world for them. But they don’t get a better world.

So on the polling front I don’t care if women are going up in popularity for Romney, and I don’t think it reflects whether or not Romney represents them. This isn’t to say I don’t agree that republicans are pro women. I do think it’s in a very different way though than a liberal woman would understand.

            Now for you Libby:

You really think that republicans have a cookie cutter box thing going for what women are supposed to be in regards to single or not? He mentioned single feminist, mainly because there is a demographic of single women feminsts which are the strongest of the group. And sadly for you, it’s true. The single feminst leans more hardcore than the married.

Women who are married flip republican leaning. Women who are single lean democrat. We can debate the reasons all day, but odds are it has something to do with the family platform, which they support. And if married women seek the family friendly platform, the single woman must be seeking the non-married platform. Given what they seek and believe, it’s not only probable, it’s likely that the single female feminsts are the most hardcore. It is certainly not even debatable that more single women are feminsts than couples though. This is already a proven stastic.

They realize something when they get married.

            So do men.

Both grow. A single feminist is like a college student male thinking he’s got life figured out. Very common, not unalike, not at all sexist to think they are going to vote democrat.

Both cannot stand it that women in general have abandoned the Democratic Party for their role in the unbelievable mess they have put this country in. Married women in particular see the economic distress when they are trying to balance the family budget, grocery shop, buy gas for the car and see all their bills going up while their income is going down. Single women don’t seem to get it on how much trouble is coming down so they hide their head in the sand and hope their Messiah saves them. Gee, I wonder why he didn’t just roll the waters back in NJ and NY. That would have saved a bunch of trouble rebuilding.

As a white guy, I am assuming you expect me to pay for it via taxes? How about a “white tax”? That would make sense. All white people should now pay 2% more in taxes to prove we aren’t racist. Believe what you want. I am a blonde, blue-eyed, female of 54. I’m a liberal democrat and proud of it. Just because I am in favor of helping those less fortunate does not make me one of them. I, unlike most of the people on this blog, have empathy for others and can put myself in their shoes without having to actually walk in them myself. You should try it sometime. It might be an eye-opener for you. Not everyone has it as good as we do, through no fault of their own.

You should be able to save tons of money Libby. It’s obvious you spend all day on here and do not work. That’s my tax dollars in action. Hey, pick me up some bread today if you can. I’ve been working overtime to pay for you welfare recipients in this country and haven’t had time to grocery shop.

Have a good day Libby. The Black Friday ads will be coming out soon, so you’ll have something to do besides post here.
And no need to keep pretending you are white as Halloween is now over. :) Only a non-white would claim to be a blue eyed, blond hair female in an Obama thread. You are typical of the Obama regime. Lie like a dog, but who cares as long as you get something for free….

You are funny, trying to insult me by implying I am a minority because I am pro-Obama and I must be on food stamps and welfare. Funny, but pathetic. I told you the truth, but I don’t expect you to believe it. People with small brains usually can’t think outside their little box.

Libby, you may not fit into his boxes, but maybe you fit into the binder Agent has for women. As far as the women supposedly tying up the votes, I’m so old I remember when conservatives were saying the polls were nothing more than liberal bias and you cannot trust them. It was like poll-trutherism. Then, they swing another way and all of a sudden, the polls are totally legit again! Oh, I love you Fox News and Fox Newsians. Some people say…

    Hi Bob:
I see you are debating with an unarmed socialist so I thought I would chime in. I also had a few minutes in between busness calls late in the afternoon.

It looks to me like she and captain have nothng to debate and usually try to use excuses or change the subject. If that don’t work they cop an attitude just like Joe “Gaffe a minute” Biden, etc to somehow get people to agree with them. You can see it throughout this diatribe. Your points are valid and they are ignorant so you have my vote. Remember You can’t fix stupid.

Additionally, if she really is a broker she must not make many sales or sales calls because she spends all her time on this blob. I suspect the rest of her time is voting for her own posts along with captain whats hs name. I find it interesting that when they are not on this blog the consevative positive votes go up, way up and when she hops on all of the sudden she gets a bunch of positive votes all at once. So, she is like the rest of her socialist bretheren, win at all costs even if you have to stuff the ballot box.

Hello FFA me too. Terrible series and unfortunately the Tigers have,at times been brilliant and then all of the sudden lose 2 out of 3 at home to the last place team in the division. The were very unpredictable and the brilliance ended with the Yankee series. After the Yankee Series I thought we may have finally got our act together. No, not to be. They have already started to make changes. Valverde gone, Delmon Young will not be back, Victor Martinez will most likely DH. So we will see

I think I will believe the Economics Professor from Colorado who did the model of predicting of all 50 states by what the Economic factors were. He has not been wrong once and he has been doing it since 1980. He is predicting Romney because of the economy. You liberals think this will be won on social issues and he thinks the pocket book is the determining factor. I also think the pocket book is stronger than providing Sandra Fluke’s birth control pills.

Agent, I think you are referring loosely to a new forecasting method that predicts Romney. Applied retroactively, it was correct in predicting the election since the data used was available in 1980.

The model uses a plethora of data and not just economics and it was created by 2 Political Science professors – not an Economics professor.

I just heard a report on the radio this morning regarding the storm that hit the N/E. Many states have offered assistance to help restore power and the clean up efforts. Alabama sent a number of electrical employees up there to help. They were greeted by the Electrical Workers Union and asked where their union card was. They are refusing the help because Alabama is right to work. Mr. President, you pledged to cut out the red tape because the area needed help right now. How about condemning the union for their behavior? How about getting to work and clean up this mess? This is just the latest example of why unions are a drag on our society. When they had the blizzard up there, they wouldn’t get out with their plows for several days. NY has the highest taxes in the country and the worst services and now everyone knows why.

Agent, don’t leave out that Bloomberg is going ahead with the marathon. Using first responders to set up barricades, bringing in food and water wagons while some of their citizens are stranded with no water or food. Guess some of those New Yorkers would be loving a big gulp (Tx thing) today. Too bad that they are outlawed in their “fair” city.

Yes, Bloomberg is a total idiot. He is using generators to light Central Park instead of providing power to buildings in need of it. Where do they think they are going to get runners if the hotels, restaurants etc do not have power? The unions are refusing to allow outside workers in because they don’t belong to unions. How stupid is that? The nation stands ready to help NY & NJ and other places that need help and just look what is going on there.

From what I understand, NJ is a forced unionized state but NY isn’t. So those electricians from Alabama were turned away by NJ, but NY was thrilled to have them.

I agree, though. There will be nowhere for these people to stay or to eat. They should have postponed it for a few weeks.

I would like to urge the folks with out poer to resist bitchimng at the line men when they show up. They are on a tight time budget on that site. Will the blood letting really be over by tomorrow night when the polls close? Nah.

I’m an independent who leans Democrat on social issues and Republican on business issues. While Hiary was and remains my first choice, I am voting for Obama as the the key Republicans in office said their job was to ensure Obama was voted out.

That was NOT their job. Their job was to do the people’s business.

If it turns out that Romney is elected, I hope that it’s Moderate Milt that shows up. If so, I will give him a chance because if he succeeds, America succeeds. But this Rush Libaugh Right Wing crap has just got to stop — as much as the Ed Schultz’s Left Wing crap has to stop.

And if Romney wins, I won’t leave the country, I will just watch him clean up Bush’s messes (plural).

Actually Center, you are not Center if you vote for Obama. Romney will be cleaning up a lot of messes Obama has created for the country the past 4 years. He took a bad situation and made it a whole lot worse with his big government entitlement spending binge. Keynsian economics has never worked in any country it has been tried in. All one has to do is look at Europe which is imploding as we speak. The idiots on the left think we have to spend more to keep from going bankrupt. Hello! Put your thinking cap on and wake up. We cannot keep borrowing $.40 of every dollar from China and expanding entitlements each year and remain a sovereign nation. Romney will reverse the trend, do things to get the economy going again and create real jobs that are productive and bring income in all the while reducing the size of this monstrous government which is eating our lunch. If you give Mitt a chance, the country will have a chance to recover.
