HA ! Do not bet against these guys. AM Best should spend their time focusing on the regionals that deliver 110% NCOR year-after-year. Also, has anyone noticed that carriers with more significant east cost exposure are mysteriously silent in the wake of Sandy?

Tagteam; did you miss the explanations or just ignore them? The Sandy cat losses impacted QBE this year, but the reserve strengthening and capital depletion were a result of prior years changes and exposures impacting the current year by $380 million.
The QBE RAC is not back to the Strong Level yet. And the profit on insurance projection dropped from 12% to 8%. So what other companies are experiencing on the East Coast is irrelevant to QBE’s rating by AMB. But it isn’t flotsam or jetsam by any means. Good day!

I reallly can’t feel sorry for a company who takes advantage of people when it comes to insurance in Michigan. I was told that 712.00 of the 1000 dollar plpd insurance cost from this company is for medical that I probably will never use. I have a great driving rercord no accidents or anything like that. They took advantage of me when I can least afford it. It totals to 10 percent of my pay for the year just so I can drive to work. I personally hope they get the same that they dish out to others. It is truly a shame six months worth of insurance has to be so expensive.
