This is crazy and unethical!! If approved, it will have a devistating effect on the population of native salmon. The problem…..it is impossible for anyone to keep the GMO modified salmon and eggs from contaminating and harming the natural salmon population. As humans, we need to keep our hands out of “natures cookie jar” so to speak. Down the road the human population of the earth will look back on our GMO mistakes and will be trying to figure out ways to correct the terrible domino effect that GMO’s will have on our life, nature and our food sources. If you don’t know much about GMO’s and how they work….I strongly suggest doing some research and making your own informed decision.
So far no one has been able to do or say anything more about this than to use scare words to say its bad.
Coming from the midwest, I know that there have been genetically modified food products created for decades-if nothing else, look at hybrids-that also fits the definition put forth as genetically altered.
if it lowers the price and increases the supply in a world that looks for such solutions to feed its 7 billion inhabitants, then I’m all for it and lets have more. I’d rather have this than millions fo starviung children all across the globe.
Why are we the only country that does this? This is ridiculous.
The public is protected by the FDA the fact that this product will not be labeled is essentially a lie to market and sell a false product.

I think this is awesome and can’t wait to eat cheaper modified salmon. We do this because we can and we benefit from the advancement.
I would be fine with this as long as the product is labeled. Not sure what the insurance content of the article is.
