Let’s see, 13% of Gas & 5% of Oil on public lands for production. What does this tell us about the country’s energy policy? Vast resources of both lie under the public land. The Interior Dept/EPA are joke and should be disbanded.
What does it say when production of oil is near record levels yet gas prices remain near record levels? Unless oil companies are forced (socialism) to keep the oil here and not offer it on the world market to the highest bidder (capitalism), more drilling will not make a difference. OPEC will just reduce their supplies on the market to keep prices high.
