Buffet may not realize it yet but AIG has done Berkshire a huge favor by cutting them off.

Strange Benmousche said”‘No big loss” when they all left! His remaining P&C talent is so good they no longer will need any reinsurance.

Remember, Ben’s background is in life and health. He knows squat about P&C and doubt he’s a good judge of talent in that area. He’ll find out if he sticks around.

So the Berkshire companies are the only reinsurers available to AIG?

Yet again, just another example of the downright nasty corporate culture at AIG. When Peter Eastwood and three other executives left for Berkshire they were labeled “traitors” and “defectors.” They were also publically criticized by AIG who said they were “not team players.” Funny as they had stellar reviews for years and then all of a sudden they no longer worked well with others?! Instead of engaging in back and forth nonsense, Eastwood refused to respond to AIG criticism and said he was focused on the future and moving forward. Months later, Benmosche is still being publically critical.

At the end of the day, compare the reputation and corporate culture of AIG and Berkshire and it is not even close!!! If anyone feels differently, please comment below as to why AIG should be more trusted and respected than Berkshire.

Where was he critical in this? He said they have plenty of talent. That sounds like a compliment to his current staff to me. Why should he praise someone who works for a different company at this point? Personally, I’d rather work for a CEO that says it like it is than one that is overly politically correct.
