    Duh!

I think “delusions of grandeur” or just “deluded” is a better description than entitled.

    This defines liberals vs conservatives.

No, Texas, it just defines people who have been unjustly coddled all their lives.

Certainly conservatives have a much higher perception of their knowledge and expertise than reality dictates. If that is what you mean, then I agree with you whole-heartedly.

So we are referring to all employees under the age of 30 or so?

There was a pretty funny “millenial response” video on failblog a few days ago.

A truly abusive boss is hard to miss by anyone, whether labeled an “entitled employee” or not.

Conspicuously absent are any details of how the researchers determined which respondents have “unjustified positive self-perceptions”. What a load.

What is the definition of entitled? How did they determine justified and unjustified? How did they determine if the boss was truly abusive or not? I wish this article went a bit further. I guess i need to read the study. There seems to be a lot of room for error on a study like this.

Bottom line, well managed weekly discusions with employees about performance and objectives and buidling a strong rapport with an employee is the solution to this issue. Check out Manager Tools podcasts on One-on-one meetings. Great stuff and it works. They are free.

Let’s not forget the other side of the Coin!

“Abusive Bosses” More Likely to Claim Employees Have a High Sense of Entitlement.

Having been on the other side of a pathological control-freak boss I am sure that boss felt I had delusions of self-grandeur.

What about management (VP of company) not backing a dedicated employee working with another emloyee who is abusive mentally?
