Confie Seguros Buys 2 Agencies in New York, 1 in Texas

Personal lines insurance brokerage Confie Seguros, has acquired three additional brokers — two in New York and one in Texas. Terms were not disclosed.

The insurance brokerages acquired are: James S. Sullivan Agency and Advanced Auto Insurance in New York and Family Insurance in Corpus Christi, Texas.

James S. Sullivan Agency is an independently owned agency selling personal lines and small commercial insurance at 16 retail locations in towns in the Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse regions with 41 employees.

Advanced Auto Insurance is an independent agency with locations in downtown Rochester and Greece.

Family Insurance was established in 1990 and serves the Corpus Christi area through two retail locations.

Confie Seguros said that the staffs and locations of the agencies will remain in place.

Joe Waked, CEO of Confie Seguros, said, New York and Texas are key growth markets for Confie Seguros. By adding James S. Sullivan Agency and Advanced Auto Insurance to its existing New York operations, his firm now has 47 locations and 140 employees in New York. Family Insurance builds on another acquisition in Texas earlier this year.
