Had to wait hours or even days? I guess when one has waited decades to find affordable insurance, what’s a few more hours or days, huh? But, don’t let that fact muddy the narrative that will soon follow this post.

So FFA, how bad is Cutler hurt? I don’t see the Bears doing much without him for any length of time. Sarge’s team may be the team to beat in that division and who would have thought that at the start of the season?

All they are saying is a groin injury. To have an MRI today. Never expected the shoot out that happened…

That was quite a game in Indianapolis, wasn’t it? The Colts really came in to play and sacked or rushed Manning big time. They were getting through that vaunted offensive line and they hit his arm two or three times causing incompletions or interceptions. It should be interesting in the AFC come play off time and who gets home field advantage. I wouldn’t want to play on the frozen tundra in January so the Colts should work to get home field.

Luck of the draw, I had Luck going on my Fantasy team because Brees was on bye. I needed all the points he posted to pull in the W… Extremely entertaining – Been There Don’t that vs the Up & Comer…One hell of an ovation towards Peyton…

Anyways, Cutler down for 4 weeks and Briggs out with a shoulder injury for 6 weeks. Two major hits. Gonna find out of Urlacher stayed in shape I would guess…

I saw on this Am news (WGN) that the govt shut down the site over the week end. Imagine how many people wasted time trying to get through? They could not have announced that before people spent their time???
I heard – but not confirmed that Obama was to have a press conference today regarding this. Any one heard that too??? Any time for this alleged press conference?

Yes FFA. Had you gone on the Fox site, you would have heard it and all the BS associated with it. In fact, you can click on the link and see what he said. He intimated that part of the problem was the government shutdown. Hello! They had three years to get this site up and running and tested. Sebelius is a joke and should be fired. She said it takes “5” years and a lot of testing to get it set up properly and she had only two years. She admitted there was very little testing that had been done. The President is very ticked that his signature legislation has been bungled so badly. He probably won’t fire her because that would be an admission of failure, but she will be on a short leash. There really does need to be a one year delay on the individual mandate since so many applicants have big issues. I suppose we have 460,000 applicants lost in cyberspace currently since only 36,000 signed up.

Anyone know how many of the 500,000 were previously or are still uninsured? What I’ve heard is that many of the enrollees are the already insured people switching from current plans/programs. The pupose was to get more uninsured people to sign up for health insurance correct?

HHS has not published any figures on how many are first time or just seeking to sign up to replace what they had. If I were guessing, I would say the majority are the PreX people trying to sign up and not the healthy young they crave to pay for the sickly ones. As I remember it, they said we had 30 million uninsured and the program was to provide insurance to them. They also said we could keep our plan if we liked it. Where does that leave people that are receiving their non-renewal/cancellation notices because their current plan doesn’t fit the one size fits all mandated coverage? I think those people will be desperate to get replacement coverage even if the plan is more expensive, has higher out of pocket, higher deductibles and no guarantee they can keep their doctor of choice.

This is an AmericanIdolism….What they didn’t say was that only 100,000 people actually signed up. They had to hit submit 5x since they kept getting server errors.

Also, how many calls did it require to get blank or duplicate data erros corrected?

Once again I’ll point out that we recently had to replace just the “server” in our office. It took 3 weeks just to work the “bugs” out and we are still encountering issues. Good thing the folks posting here are not the ones we depended on to move this country forward. Defeatist attitudes will get us nowhere! Remember, the conservative Heritage Foundation WROTE the original ACA and they DEMANDED the personal mandate. Their point was that hospitals and doctors deserved to be paid and NOT by the taxpayers. Personal responsibility was their mantra.. and it has been implemented in MA without too much negativity.. Guess it takes a state run by Democrats to implement something and not whine about it!

Nan Says – “It took 3 weeks just to work the “bugs” out and we are still encountering issues.”

we don’t have three weeks. He only gave up 8 weeks for 17M people. We are three weeks into this and another three weeks to work out the bugs will give 17million people two weeks to get it done. we are way past debating the merits of the law. Its law. He promised Affordable health care. Cost is increasing. He promised people could keep what they have. Groups are being dropped and people in HSA CANT keep what they have realizing a large increase in cost.
People are losing their jobs and hours.

Not a Defeatist attitude, just the cold hard truth. So, open up YOUR wallet and let Mr Obama take what ever he wants.
