Did you know the earths temp would be over 220 degrees if we didn’t have oceans? That was actually said by a global warming expert. So if we use that as truth wouldn’t sea levels rising cause the earths temp to decrease? So what do these people want lower temps or lower oceans. On further thought I though Obuma stopped the sea from rising…healed the planet…bla…bla…bla. Maybe it wasn’t the Biggert Waters ACT that screwed up FEMA flood, maybe it was global warming experts claiming we are all going to sink?

Yes Jack, The Global Warming people can’t seem to explain that the North Pole ice pack has actually increased and also claimed the Polar Bears were endangered. Not! Hmm! They can’t even predict the number of hurricanes making landfall and we are supposed to believe this rubbish. Cooling has been going on for several years now. Sandy didn’t make the Atlantic ocean rise. That was just a storm that was at first a hurricane, then a Noreaster.

Couldn’t we solve this problem if we all just drank more water?

Can you say Desalinization? Lot’s of drought ridden areas could use a few inches of water each year.

They have a lot of desalianation plants in Saudia Arabia and other smaller Arab countries or they wouldn’t have any water at all since it doesn’t rain much over there. Since they are tapping ocean water, does that make their land rise? These climate change idiots take the cake.

At a rising rate of less than 7 one hundredths of an inch per year, How long will it take to make a big difference??? One hundred years from now, the same storm as one today would only have 6.8 inches of higher flood damage. INSIGNIFICANT PROPAGANDA!!!!!!

Sea levels ARE rising and storms will have more impact with higher sea levels, but we’re discussing two issues here – global warming and all taxpayers subsidizing those who have homes and businesses in coastal flood zones. We can’t do anything (directly and immediately)about the polar caps, but we can stop subsidizing the beach dwellers. If you can’t afford the insurance, move!

jph- if you will do a little research you will find out that more is paid for flood damage in inland states than on the coast. Just the facts jack!

Pls advise – without satellite tech, how did they measure sea level in 1788? Did they put a stick in the water?

Another – if you put billions of tons onto a 13-mile island, does the sea rise or does the ground sink?

    Just sayin’…

      LOL…good one insguy

I think i saw that stick when i was fishing yesterday. I moved it so next year the data could be a little off.

Here’s my weather prediction- it changes!

I for one am happy with the global warming. I believe the earth is healing itself and saving us. Yes, I said it, saving us. Isn’t the oxygen level decreasing in our atmosphere? And what makes oxygen, plants. I know plants in the ocean create oxygen, but it’s mostly for the ocean. But we also need more on land and we only have so much land exposed. But unless we make more land, which our planet is doing by exposing it by removing ice from it. And the temporary increase of the ocean levels is keeping us cooler in the meantime. We could help mother earth by making those scums that destroyed the rainforest for drug plantations replant the rainforest. This is my theory of why we have global warming. Thank you mother earth!

In my geology classes at Ohio State University we made several field trips to look at where the glaciers had scraped up the landscape and how they receded due to global warming long before my car exhaled evil gases into the atmosphere. And as Agent pointed out Arctic ice is growing and growing.Having studied the stats in great detail (not just listenig to radio talk show hosts)the man made global warming myth is exposed.

I could have sworn I heard back in 2008 that “this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.”
