Exactly. When did Barry become dictator? Where he can change laws passed by both houses of congress at his each and every whim. Any change to this abortion of the law should have to be passed by congress before it can be enacted. Wasn’t Barry a constitutional expert? Apparently not. This is exactly why congress doesn’t want to pass “comprehensive immigration reform”. Barry will just enforce the parts of the law he wants and let things like border security get by with the wave of his dictatorial magic wand. This guy should be impeached!

Right Dave, It seems the Executive Branch is 2/3rds of the Government, the Legislative + Judicial is one third. Whatever happened to the Separate but Equal doctrine? This Emperor in Chief changes the goal posts whenever he wants and Congress has still not brought Impeachment Proceedings. How bad does it have to get before action is taken? Back in Empire of Rome, Caeser and Nero didn’t fare too well when they tried to be dictators. We are more civilized now, but someone needs to stand up for the American People and get this guy removed from office before more damage is inflicted.

There IS something the People can do when all three branches of government take power away from the People******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************It’s Amendment V of the Constitution.***********************************************************************************************************
The founding fathers had foresight in knowing that the three branches of government could eventually hold too much power over the people. It could become oppressive and never agree to propose amendments to its own tyranny.*********************************************************************************************************************************
Amendment V allows the states to return power back to the People.
          ************************************************************************************************************************
Mark Levin put out a great book: “Liberty Amendments”.
It defines the intent of Amendment V along with the means to execute a states convention.*************************************************************************************************************

Reader, perhaps more of us should pay attention to the recent polls. One I saw the other day asked if they thought the Federal Government was too big and powerful. 72% thought it was. This country has been asleep too long and the Feds are running wild and this administration is ruling like a Dictatorship. Communism’s main tenet is the Dictatorship of the Proletariat (Us). They own or control all the means of production and services in a country. Does that sound familiar given what has been going on? Something very bad is going to happen soon and I give it about 6 months to reach a head. The man has to be Impeached. The country can’t stand this any longer.

KYjw, Obama is ruling by Executive Orders now and this change is the latest example. Pass a law, change a law by order of the President. How many does this make now on Obamacare, three or four mandate changes? He is keeping the industry hopping and they don’t know what to do next. Try getting Blue Cross on the line now. They hired 500 new people to answer the phone and you still can’t get through. This administration doesn’t know s*&# from Shinola and the people will suffer for it. Maximum amount of pain is the plan.

The better solution is the Separate but Equal Doctrine promised in the Constitution. If the President oversteps his authority, Impeach and remove him from office.

Mikey, the Cloward & Pivin strategy to ruin this country has been going on for 5 years now. Obama is a student of the theory along with his minions/Czars implementing policy. All of the Departments & Agencies carry out policy from the top and the American People and business suffer the consequences. I think a lot of people have awakened now and know how bad this President is given his last approval rating of 43%. When January rolls around and 6 million have no insurance, perhaps that will be the last nail in the coffin for this administration. Get out the pitchforks, torches, tar & feathers because it won’t be long now.

So, In our staff meeting this morning a case was discussed and how we might be able to help.

A couple, age 54 & 52, kids grown and one has type 2 diabetes. Current plan has a $1,000 ded per family member and 80/20. Total out of pocket 2,500 per fam member. Cost $545.00 per month. Insurer cancelled their insurance policy. Best from the exchange- $793 per month. Ded per family member $5000.00 and 80/20 thereafter and I am not sure what the maximum out of pocket is. They have finally enrolled but told us that they probably can’t afford it and may need to have the coverage in place until they get by the fine and income tax issue and then cancel it. Then re-enroll just before the next fine and tax year. I am not sure they can even do that but that is what they said and I told the agent not to advise them on anything other than what we can provide and make sure they document the file. In the meantime their family member are going to need to help with the insulin and supplies.
They volunteered to the agent that they voted for Obama on the promise that their health insurance costs would be better and lower in cost.
I advised the agent to do the best she could to try to find alternatives that will work for them and to keep me posted.

He said it takes 8 months to get filings approved by the State and then the Feds to do these kinds of policies. The site only quotes Obamacare Bronze, Silver and Platinum. What a deal. I kind of doubt any of the other major markets have these bare bones policies either since they were geared up for Obamacare. Bend over America, he is not through yet.

Hey Sargeant, I appreciate your dilemma. Here is a good example of the mounting problems. A family lost their Individual policy that they liked so they go on the website and purchased (or think they did) one of these plans for several hundred more dollars per month. Then, Sebelius says they could be exempted and allowed to purchase a Catastrophic Plan for less than they were paying. Can it be cancelled and re-written like normal P&C policies or are they stuck? Another question is who will offer these policies since this just happened and we are almost out of time before 1-1?

Why did the insurance have to get into bed with Obama in the first place. What were they offered to play his game? When are they going to say “enough already” and refuse to play his game? Surely if I knew this would never work, they would have known that also. I am so confused. They are being used by this administration and the blame will ultimately be placed on them because we all know that the idiot in the white house will never accept any of the blame of this mess he has created. I hope all of the idiots who voted for him even once realize what a horrible mistake they made and what a horrible mess they have created for the American people.

Connie, the explanation I have seen on the companies getting into bed with Obama was that they said they hadn’t been making any money on Individual for several years and they needed more premium dollars rolling in. That is now happening for millions when they see what is offered on the exchanges. They figure people will spend whatever necessary to get coverage. I don’t think Obama counted on the Millenials thumbing their nose at him. What we are seeing are the sick people enrolling which is adverse selection to the max. What will that do to the rates?

Sargeant & FFA, did you see or hear any of the President’s press conference today prior to him leaving for his multi million dollar vacation in Hawaii? His statement that he is proud that 2 million will be covered by Obamacare by 1-1-14. He is going from total of 364,000 for Oct-Nov to 2 million by 12-31. How many have paid a premium for coverage where it will go in force? Of course, he failed to mention that 6 million have lost coverage and have no where to go. No one is offering the non mandated coverage Catastrophic plans he approved for them to use. Hmm! Seems to me there is a serious credibility gap. Time for the signing guy to come in and run the White House because he makes more sense.

Hey Sargeant & FFA. It seems that I get daily emails from Blue Cross regarding this disaster. Today’s wonderful email says that there may be delays in processing applications (do you think?). They are now going to allow for payments to be made as late as 1-10-14 to get a 1-1 effective date. As this continues to unfold, delay after delay, push back after push back. They hired another 500 at Blue Cross just to answer phones about all the problems and people asking what they can do. I guess we can say now that Obama is creating private sector jobs even if it is a crisis generating that.

Sargeant, it should be an interesting month in January to see how many people that think they have coverage and don’t because their info was lost, incorrectly input, no premium paid, no ID card and nothing in the system. Companies are way behind, their phone lines stay busy all the time and are being asked to forgive late payments. There are a lot of people who will need to go to the doctor in the month with serious illnesses. What will the doctors do? I suppose they will treat people and hope for eventual re-imbursement. Oops! What if they aren’t in network anymore? Hmm! What a colossal failure!

FFA, Duck Dynasty will find a new home, no problem. They only have 8 million regular viewers. A&E will rue the day they pulled Robertson off for expressing his views. Liberals are all about diversity and debate until someone disagrees with them and then they want to destroy who disagreed with them.

By the way, I couldn’t believe my eyes last night. Philly is good, but they aren’t that good. Da Bears layed down for them last night. I can’t see a Lovie Smith or Ditka coached team doing that. Sargeant’s team tanked badly coming down the stretch and Stafford does not look like a $94 million guaranteed qb. The Cowgirls managed to stay alive, I don’t know how. They will end up 8-8 just like I predicted in September after Philly gets through with them next week. I have never seen so many no names on a pro football team since I have been following the game. 18 different defensive linemen used and none can play. Only the Redskins are more hapless. Shanahan should be out of there after the last game. What a mess he has made.

Hey FFA & Sargeant, Cracker Barrel has found out it is not wise to tick off the people. They had taken down Duck Dynasty items from their shelves and made the politically correct statement to please the gay crowd after A&E’s debacle in taking Robertson off the air. Over the weekend, they made a profound apology to the folks, put the items back after the Face Bookers and people went in and said they wouldn’t eat there or shop there anymore. My son in law actually went into one of their restaurants and told the manager face to face. Speaking of faces, they have egg all over their’s. Let the gay crowd boycott them now. It worked so great with Chick Fil A. I think sales have set a record for them this year.

He proved he could coach and got a raw deal with Chicago. Whatever team emerges from the NFC north will have as much luck as the NFC East in the playoffs. Both are weak divisions. The NFC West is where the power is with Seattle and SF. By the way, Garrett needs to be dumped in Dallas, but Jones is still backing him. I wonder what will happen after Philly comes in their next Sunday and puts a serious whipping on them. 8-8 and no playoffs once again.

FFA, tis the season for change in the NFL. A number of coaches and GM’s will be looking for work in the off season. All one has to do is look at all the mediocre teams, mismanaged for personnel and bad coaching to see who needs to go. Parity can be a good thing, but sometimes it makes a lot of teams equally bad and that is not good for the fans. Only the smartest of the GM’s and coaches weather the storm every year and put competitive teams on the field. Draft choices, free agent signings many times don’t work out. Then, when you have a stupid coach running the ball four times from the one with a team that can’t block, they will lose games.

They have been spreading the wealth around with their system of drafting and succeeded in making most teams equally bad. Only the elite teams win these days. We have a bunch of very bad teams and a few average teams. Back in the day, smart coaches and smart GM’s that burn the midnight oil and work hard were the ones who won championships.

The video had a number of speakers of the black community ravaged by violent crime and corruption. They all let Emanuel, the city council have it with both barrels. Did any of the local networks cover this event or was it reported in any newspaper. I could understand if the City Government would suppress criticism of their agenda. Looks to me like the south side black community has awakened from their slumber. They had no compliments whatsoever.

Obamacare’s negative effects as being see already, even though dominating the media, are simply a microcosm of government policy in general. Virtually all well-intended (assuming they are in fact well-intended) government policies bring negative unintended consequences that hurt the very people they intend to serve. The prevalence of this paradox, called iatrogenics (originally used in the medical context to refer to doctors’ actions that hurt patients), should give pause to those who favor government intervention to solve societal problems.

Live Free, Ronald Reagan once said big Government is not the solution, it is the problem. He also said to beware of the government if a guy shows up and says he is from the government and he is there to help.

A basic creed of the medical community is – First, do no harm. Unfortunately, a lot of harm will be done by this unaffordable health law because of rationing, doctors dropping out and long lines of people thinking they can get care when they can’t.

A nice quote from a pretty terrible president. Funny how he was also a big part of the Government not being the solution. Government lacks the ability to consider consequences and he was the same way (even though probably well intentioned again).

But I completely agree, rationing, doctors, and long lines are just a few of the problems that the people this law is supposed to help will actually be harmed by. I just hope that the growing coalition of people recognizing this paradox will take this revelation and apply it to other policy arenas as well.

I very well know that a lot of Americans think Reagan was the greatest the same way a lot think LBJ was a great one as well. Both IMO are very wrong.

Reagan and his “capitalism” and success’s are a myth and he has done more harm to capitalism than any good as a result. I still like Ronald Reagan as a man. The man projected optimism and I think he genuinely loved Amercia. Unfortunately, we often are trapped by image over reality.

In reality he supported artificially low interest rates (Volcker saved the economy by raising interest rates) actually raised the business tax (see article below), as well as the income taxes on the middle class and poor, which also decreases the tax cuts on the wealthy (he sneakily used bracket creep to tax without people noticing).

Also, no one who supports the war on drugs or the military industrial complex or foreign aid can be considered a true fiscal conservative or even a capitalist. IIRC, the budget for the World Bank also doubled during his regime, and he also increased gov’t spending by 68% from what Jimmy Carter (who is criticized as a over spender ironically) spent in his term before Reagan.

People like Reagan and Jack Kemp with their pro-deficit Supply-side economics BS are ultimately more harmful to capitalism than people like Obama. Uneducated people often mistake Reagan for a capitalist and use him for an example as to why they think capitalism doesn’t work. Even worse I believe those who recognize him to be evil (a lot of people do, mostly lefties), but don’t understand economics, will tend to associate capitalism with him, and therefore consider it to be evil too.

            Good article by Rothbard: http://mises.org/daily/1544

Better presidents: Jefferson, Jackson, Harrison (in office 32 days so couldn’t screw anything up lol), Cleveland, and plenty more but I digress.

I guess that is a cautionary tale I will have to take into account with future posts. I did get a laugh out of you saying that Reagan was more harmful to Capitalism than Obama. I think you in a little over your head on that one. By the way, I mentioned greatest Presidents of the last hundred years, not all the way back to the founding fathers like Jefferson etc. I do agree that Jefferson was one of the greatest of all and was very brilliant. Funny that you weren’t able to defend against any of the points I brought up, which were substance containing (albeit in summary) points to my argument. Instead you just claimed that I was “in over my head”… projecting much perhaps? Where is your argument? Don’t have one? Interesting…

Yes FFA. Ford was a status quo kind of guy and didn’t do much in his short tenure. However, that was a good thing. He didn’t screw around with the economy which was pretty good, didn’t mess with Healthcare which was pretty good then and he didn’t get us bogged down in any more foreign adventures which was a good thing. The country needed healing from the Vietnam War end and the debacle of Nixon. He said he pardoned Nixon to avoid further disruption to the country. We can argue whether that was the right or wrong thing to do, but it did cost him the next election. Ford enjoyed his retirement, played a lot of golf and he was well liked in the end.
