National Interstate Launches New Ambulance Insurance Product

National Interstate Insurance Co. has launched a new insurance program targeted towards for-profit emergency and non-emergency ambulance transportation operations. The company will began accepting applications on January 2, 2014, and is actively seeking to increase its producer network.

National Interstate will offer the traditional insurance product through independent appointed agents, to prospective insureds, with some restrictions, in all 50 states. The comprehensive coverage package includes auto liability, auto physical damage, workers’ compensation, general liability, EBL, professional liability, EPLI, property, inland marine, and crime coverages.

National Interstate Insurance Co. is a wholly owned subsidiary of National Interstate Corp., a specialty property and casualty insurance company with a niche orientation and focus on the transportation industry. Products include insurance for passenger, moving and storage, and truck transportation companies, alternative risk transfer, or captive insurance programs for commercial risks, specialty personal lines consisting of insurance products focused primarily on recreational vehicle owners and small commercial vehicle accounts, and transportation and general commercial insurance in Hawaii and Alaska. National Interstate and its insurance subsidiaries include Vanliner Insurance Co. and Triumphe Casualty Co.
