Let’s face it, most aeroplane accidents are attributed to pilot error.

Whether you blame the pilot or the part, it still comes down to human error. That shouldn’t stop any of us from walking, flying, driving or using other modes of transportation. Life is a risk and we should take it.

A letter to the editor in today’s Palm Beach Post makes the comment because years of experience flying multi engine jets does not necessarily translate well to piloting a single engine aircraft.

As any good pilot and/or aircraft builder will tell you…..it is way better being down here and wishing you were up there than up there wishing you were down here.

As a pilot who has built/assembled aircraft, I can tell you that I have never met another pilot/builder that is not extremely maticulous and safety conscious. After all….it’s gonna be your butt in the seat!
