These green warriors are nothing more than socialists using climate change (which used to be warming) to push their agendas. In the 70’s they claimed that we would all be dead by now. These people are nothing more than fools and charlatans.

Oh, time to revisit the Iraq war and weapons of mass destruction that were out to kill us. The only people hurt by WMD were the brave service men and women who gave their lives because of an false agenda from a fool and his charlatan.

But hey…the fool and his charlatan wasn’t socialists, so I guess you’ll defend that point of view.

Again resorting to your lies. Let me give you examples of lies and non-lies:

        Lies:
If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Period!
If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan. Period!
The raid was based on a reaction to a video.

        Non-lies:
We went into Iraq based on intelligence gathered by Israel, United Kingdom, FRance, Germany, USA, etc. The intelligence may have been flawed or the WMD may have been moved into Syria, but nobody lied about the intelligence they had in their hands at the time. Unlike the Obama administration who knew within hours the raid on Benghazi was an organized terrorist attack and not the result of a protest about a video. What makes you so dense as to not understand this? Or are you just a bold-faced liar like your president?

        This is beyond wrong.

        I recently posted regarding this.

Either Saddam is a threat or he isn’t.

When Clinton bombed him was that in error?

If Iraq is a threat they are a threat.

By the by: Saddam threw out our inspection teams, (both for Osama and WMD’s) and said any inspection would be considered an attack.

        Saddam needed to be removed.

1992 Al Gore made it a priority issue saying “every” piece of intelligence showed we needed to take action in Iraq. Is he also a charlatan?

In which book is dropping bombs on a country the moral high ground to sending in troops?

The amount of men and women who gave their lives in the war with Iraq, is comparable to the least we have had in a full scale war. It isn’t the least. But it is certainly the lower tier.

WMD’s were not why we went to war. Iraq broke several of 16-17 UN Sanctions. We quoted them when we went to war. You are clueless and a fool.

This WMD lie crap, is a lie.

        Wise up.

Hey Bob, you follow the economy closely. How about the Commerce Dept announcing we had a 1% contraction last month in Gross Domestic Product? For an economy that has recovered from the “recession”, these numbers do not look good, do they? They will blame it on the severe weather of the winter, no doubt. I wonder how many of these “recovery” summers we will have to endure. Probably at least 8 I would imagine before this administration and its idiot lemmings are out of office.

I want to be concerned about when and how the changes he has made will blow up.

With what he did another housing bubble pop is almost a certainty. That is going to hurt a lot more than .1%

Ben, I loved the comment that the POTUS has made several times that the US consumes 25% of the energy in the world while having only 3% of the supply. Perhaps he should read something on proven reserves found in the past 5 years. Just the Bakken basin of North Dakota, Montana has more proven reserves than Saudia Arabia. That is just one field.

Scientifically explain to me this. How will reducing our already reduced carbon footprint while China and India build coal fired power plants on a weekly basis to support their burgeoning middle classes help reduce CO2 emmissions worldwide? Where will all the money that you want to spend on the technology to increase our energy effiency come from when all our jobs are shipped to China and India, the lands of cheap labor and cheap energy? And who says people are not listening to scientists with a different opnion than yours on climate change, and who knows with certainty who is right and who is wrong? Or if there even is a “right” or “wrong” here? The left blindly follow the “climate change gods” such as Al Gore who have been proven to be liars. But because they are voices of the left, they must be right.

Good one Dave. It is well known that China & India are the biggest polluters in the world. If this billionaire really wants to challenge someone on this issue, he should spend his money over there and change their attitudes. He and Gore should travel over there and make some speeches to those guys and convince them not to use so much energy and to get rid of coal.

Yet China and India are taking steps to reduce their dependence on pollution. The Chinese government has produced a carbon tax in major cities, and the Indian government has signed a major deal with Gazprom to slowly divest itself of dirty fuels. It is not only India and China, but France and the United Kingdom are looking for measures to slow down their share of global pollution as well.

If the US seriously wants to reduce global warming, it must act in concert with the rest of the world. We live in a society that comes becomes more interdependent everyday.

Yes, Obama’s approval is low. But I guarantee the Senate stays Democrat. The Georgia seat looks like likely to switch hands, and it looks like Landrieu, Hagan, Begich and Udall will win. Also, if the election were held tomorrow, the country would more than likely vote for Obama versus some tea party fool Republican. I would gladly take a less popular Obama versus Ted “Calgary” Cruz or Rand “Aqua Buddha” Paul.

As for 2016, have you found anyone that can compete with Hillary? I know you are not a RINO, but would you seriously vote for Paul or Cruz over Jeb Bush or Jon Huntsmann? The latter two give you the best chance to win the White House.

But with GOP voters like you, I guess the White House will be in Democratic hands for a long time to come.

          Cheers agent!

while they were not the only cause of the collapse, I will also say:

This isn’t all that democrats blocked. Did you know to have a high CRA rating, which allowed you to give CRA loans (more loans) and allowed you to go past bank growth in debt to revenues, you had to give more loans to minority low income earners, and you have to be able to prove it. These were especially tightened after Bill Clinton went after companies during his presidency and Obama went after Citi Bank.

I looked this up, and you never listen.

Look up the reason behind the high ratings of companies on the government website.

            Every, single, one, that failed.

Lehman Bros, Country wide, were given high ratings in 2007 simply for “providing low income loans to minorities with little to no loan documentation”

No surprise they couldn’t pay back the loans.

            Libby,

This is getting old. You’re mad that I attached Hillary Clinton to her Husband Bill. The only reason could be gender issues, especially when you said she isn’t from Bill. That’s a gender issue through and through.

            Moving on:

If you cannot connect the speech Clinton gave to the one Bush W did you are out of your mind.

Clinton’s matches Bush W’s. Clinton is why the un sanctions got put in place. He bombed them.

Al gore told HW Bush that HW Bush should have removed Saddam as every piece of info said we should, and Clinton backed him on this. It is one of the issues that won them 1992. The threat of Iraq. They won based on the threat of Iraq and dealing with it in 1992, then they ran against dealing with Iraq in 2006 and 2008. Really Libby. THAT is corrupt.

But back on point: Bush W and Clinton held the same opinions of Iraq. And Bush W could not have tricked Clinton 10 years earlier in office. He is not a time traveler.

Bush W, did not, fabricate or influence issues with Iraq.

Clinton acted the same. And Hillary Clinton would also act the same.

And on terms of the housing market she would make the same mistakes on the CRA regulations.

And when it comes to corporate taxes, as well, in order to win votes.

Clinton himself said that he made the mistake of letting our corporate tax rate become uncompetitive.

Do you even listen to him anymore?

He said we should lower it to 25%.

Romney said we should lower it to 25%, and then we have a cow.

No Hillary deserves to be in office.

As far as Clinton and Bush, Clinton did not start a war with Iraq. Bush did. I will not continue to debate you about GWB. I will not change my mind. I lived through it and I know who the man is. Along with his evil twin, Cheney, and court jester, Karl Rove. Those three are the true axis of evil.

Now. End of discussion. If you want to debate Hillary and her qualifications, fine. But do not attach them to Bill Clinton, as he is not the one running for office.

        Dave,
Time to move you and Agent back into remedial geography. Have you ever heard of the term of comparative advantage? I have travelled to India extensively, and I have visited China. BOTH Indian and Chinese firms are moving their manufacturing and “cheap” labor jobs to countries where the cost of labor is cheaper-try Zambia and Vietnam for example.
The former is more lucrative as besides cheap labor it also has the largest supply of copper in the world.
It is time that you acted like your idol Rush Limbaugh. Take your oxycontin and lie down.

I understand the concept of comparative advantage. I also understand that cheap labor is not the only reason for moving jobs from one place to another. Cheap energy, infrastructure, skilled labor force, lack of inordinate regulation all figure into that equation. By handing cheap energy (which we have enjoyed for decades) over to China and India, the growth of their middle classes and more skilled workforce, the building up of their infrastructure and their better business climate, we will be shipping jobs over there by the millions in the next few decades.

            Dave,
We have not handed cheap energy over to China and India for a decade. Look at the deal that Russia cut with China to supply natural gas. It is remarkably discounted from what is paid by other countries (Asian markets particularly).

            http://www.npr.org/2014/05/29/316891522/russia-s-natural-gas-deal-with-china-likely-to-reshape-energy-markets

As for better business climate in India, don’t make me laugh. I am of Indian origin and have travelled to the country at least twenty times (both for pleasure and business). The corruption that takes place in business would make the executives at AIG look like model citizens. The only thing that might be worse than India’s corruption is their infrastructure. If you have travelled to Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, etc, you will see that infrastructure was neglected by the previous government and makes America’s crumbling infrastructure look world class in comparison.
Hence, you saw the election of Narendra Modi. A fair amount of people voted for his party because of his strong anti-corruption regime in Gujurat and the chance to replicate it across India.
Chinese and Indian companies are not using the sweet deals cut with Russia to benefit their own infrastructure but are taking these resources to other parts of the world where they have vested interests (Latin America and Africa among others).
Don’t see jobs jumping over by the thousands. Corruption, inflation, poor infrastructure, a deficient educational system, etc will keep growth far below expectations for an emerging economy like India.
            Thanks for your insights Dave.

FFA, this is off subject, but did your Bears pick up anyone in the draft that may help next season? The Cowboys/Jerry Jones did the same thing again hoping for a different result. Worst defense in the league, ran Demarcus Ware off to Denver to save on the cap and then drafted an offensive tackle in the first round. Three straight years of offensive linemen. I know you have to have a line that can keep the defense off Romo, but when you have a terrible defense and lose your best defender, it might make more sense to restock the defense. It is hard to outscore anyone in the Not for Long league.

They picked up some DB early. Much needed. Corner Backs are getting older and older. Safties were noting to brag about either. Also picked up Jaret Allen out of MN. Probably best D Lineman in foot ball today. They let Peppers walk who signed with Green Bay. Ware would have been a great addition.

The did sign Lynch from NIU as an undrafted free agent. Converting him to an RB. Hes got the home town folks pulling for him.

All in all, Brandon MArshal is proclaiming this to be his break out year as Alshon has come of age and is commanding the DB attention.

They might Destro, but sometimes the best laid plans of mice and men go awry. The Texans were touted to go to the Superbowl last year and they went 2-14. Shows you how much the experts knew. In this league, it is easy to go from first to worst and vice versa.

No, I think the 49ers and Seahawks will both beat a beating down on them.

Good defense 99 times out of 100 will beat good offense. The Packers defense has so many holes in it that you could drive Putin’s motorcade through it.

You have a top 5 QB. You also have a bunch of no name that just keep getting the job done week after week. Front Office nack for finding talent in all rounds of the draft is second to none. Last count I heard last year, all but three players drafted by the Pack on the Roster. thats enough to make even agent jealous.
But when the Bears V Packers come around, toss out the record book. Seems someone is limping off that field every game… My fav foot ball week ends… I will only say this because you dont know who I am, but I love watching Aaron Rodgers. The pure football talent on your roster…. Lets talk again in the fall….

It was the Bears that ended Bretts football playing career. Fitting that they did it to him in Minn… He was at the very least, entertaining. Didnt we put Aaron on the DL last year too??? Last year in my Fantasy League, the same guy had Rogers as did the Bears Defense. By the end of them games, he could not stand himself.

You Pack fans are loyal and as nice as you can be about it. Always fun to trash talk. Them Minn Fans are something else. When you go there as an opposing fan, you are taking some risk. Hey FFA, the Central Division of the NFC is called the Black & Blue division for a reason. It really doesn’t matter what the records are, they just knock the snot out of each other for 60 minutes. I remember Dick Butkus going head hunting on just about every play. That is illegal now, but back then, the refs let almost everything go unless it was very blatant.

We can all agree the Viqueens are the most annoying team in the division. All that talk and no Lombardi Trophy to back it up. Not one. Favre was the man until he played the Pack they way he did. He needs to do something major to kiss and make up after taking that stint with The Purple. Nothing says Benedict Arnold more than going from Green Bay to MN. Unless, all of that was a ploy to get the Vikes throw away from the Superbowl and pooof – another needless Favre interception. Just when the fans were all on the Brett bandwagon after all those years of hating him. Oh, the poetic justice!

Well, it is official. Sean Lee, first string linebacker is gone for the season with torn ACL. I think he has played in only half the games in the past 3 years due to various injuries. Too bad since he is their best linebacker and actually made some plays when he was healthy. By the way, this was a non contact drill, but that OL from Notre Dame they drafted first this year lost his balance and rolled over Lee on a play. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lee has to retire since he is apparently injury prone. Jones will have to scour the waiver wires and sign someone else that has been cut from another team.

I wonder what the other owners attitudes would be with a full dose of Trump at their meetings. With the controversy on the concussion issue and pill issue hanging over them, the NFL may be paying out some serious bucks to former and maybe current players. The team doctors and trainers have been feeding the players the pain killers like candy so they can play.

Climate change advocacy is but another example of pronouncements being put forth as facts. Where is it “settled” that climate change is even measurably impacted by human activity? To profess that we humans make as much difference in the normal process of climate fluctuations as claimed is the height of narcissism for the human race. Also, now that we claim that “climate” change is the issue, what happened to Al Gore’s pronouncements “global warming”? Was he mistaken in using that term? It seems we have now traded global warming in for a more encompassing term which would also seem to point more towards a natural phenomenon. No doubt we should reduce our carbon emissions and we have done so over the past 20 years and continue to do so, but, impatient activists don’t think we’ve done enough and want to beat us into submission while other countries continue to increase their carbon footprint. That would severely impact our economy, jobs and way of life with increased regulations, costs and control, while those countries replace our footprint. I’ll listen to the celebrity activists on the issue if I saw them taking real steps towards reducing their own footprints, e.g., no more energy absorbing mansions, private jets or high-end/low mpg cars, etc., If they don’t practice what they preach why should we?

As far as your “global warming” comment is concerned, you are speaking to a region larger than the US. Hence, the word ‘global’. Ask Australia and New Zealand how hot their last summer was. I choose to teach my children, and eventually grandchildren, how to be good stewards of our planet and in the process, who knows, maybe they can effect some positive change in others. The Earth is a life and we shouldn’t continue to poison it. Why pour poison down God’s gift to all of us? If China and India (countries who are making changes by the way) jumped off a bridge, should the US? Or, should we do what we’ve always done and be a leader?

The scientific basis for global warming is well documented. It is beyond the Hollywood film producers and political types. For the global warming naysayers (i.e. Jack Welch), there are at LEAST 10-12 papers based on trials, testing and reason that show that global warming is real.

That hail storm that ran through my area last week was brutal… The tornado in Central IL last Novemeber…. that weather event was never recorded – if you believe the Il politicians that keep the stats.

I would agree change, not warming. Ask me again in July when its 110 degrees. I may change my mind.

Right, because claiming that hail in early Summer, late snows, droughts/floods, and tornadoes never happened before the past 15 years (because that’s essentially what you ARE saying) as evidence of this grave threat of climate change isn’t foolish.

I believe the last time I checked NASA had some pretty smart people that worked for them. Please find the link that describes that climate change is real!! No offense, but I trust NASA scientists over the UK Telegraph any day of the week.

As for Destro, Agent, FFA, Emp of the Earth, Insurance 14 etc, if you clowns worked for NASA, the Space Shuttle would have never got past Cleveland!

Dr. Ben Carson? World class doctor, and he is an inspiration. But he should run for Senate in Michigan before he runs for President. But some questions:

    a) Do you know if he is a registered Republican?
    b) Has he ever headed an organization (i.e John Hopkins School of Medicine, John Hopkins University, etc)?
    c) Has he been recruited by the Republican party and worked on state and federal levels for the GOP (like Bill Frist before running for Senate).

This is just food for thought.

I wonder what the VA would be doing for the past 10 years if Carson had been around. I think there would have been a big house cleaning and all the dead wood sent packing and people installed who could run the place and get our veterans the care they deserved.

Yawn! Agent continues his conservative rants!

Yes, Ben Carson has problems with the ACA. But for every Ben Carson, there is a Howard Dean, Ezekiel Emanuel and Bill Frist who believe that the law will be beneficial for health care reform. The last time I checked all three are board certified doctors graduating from top medical schools and accompanied with world class residencies and fellowships.

Moreover, they are much more familiar with the intricacies of the American healthcare system than any of us. I guess that crosses Bill Frist off the GOP list for 2016!

As for Ben Carson, I agree that he is a world class doctor with an inspirational story. But he didn’t use common sense when he linked people who were homosexuals to being pedophiles and liking bestiality. He had to walk back from those comments.

I am up for Dr Carson entering the political arena, but he should follow the likes of Frist, Dean, etc and run for state or federal office before running for the big house at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Agent…that Texas heat is really frying your brain!!

            http://www.politico.com/story/2013/03/ben-carson-gay-remark-apology-89475.html

As for the VA situation, I believe that it should be fully investigated and those who are liable should be held responsible. However, I think you will find that responsibility lies way short of the Director. Is this another political attack since Benghazi has died down Agent? Another way for Teabaggers to raise money for 2014?

As for the VA, please follow the link below. Despite its flaw, the VA has drug purchasing practices that offer higher quality and much lower costs than other government departments (ex Defense) or programs (i.e. Medicare)? Do you know what would if this were put in place across the entire spectrum?

I agree KY. Politics is a very nasty game. Lobbyists, PACS have been influencing elections for a long time so they can elect people to do their bidding. The whole system is very corrupt. We also don’t like organizations like ACORN going in and falsifying voter registrations and Democrats voting multiple times to elect some Progressive Socialist to office. That is why we need voter ID laws to stay in place.

FFA, slightly off subject, but I just renewed the agency E&O for this year. Renewal terms were very good with almost a flat renewal since we haven’t had problems for several years. The carrier threw in Cyber Liability at no charge this year. We don’t store customer info in our server since it is off site with the vendor and we have minimal exposure to being hacked, but they said it is possible to have a rogue employee who might release agency proprietary info and a claim might result. We don’t have anyone like that, but it is possible and the coverage is free, so it is now included. Does your E&O include the coverage?

Good question… I dont recall. Ill dig that out. I know renewal only went up about $5.00 monthly. I was happy with that. I have a diminishing Deductible. So Originally I elected $5000 and its whittled down to $2500. Gonna look at the $10,000 ded and has out where its diminished to.
