Vertafore should be ashamed of itself for offering an alternative more than twice as expensive than our current operating system of FISERV.

Vertafore has totally dropped the ball on supporting ImageRight, the imaging management system they bought that markets to carriers and wholesalers. Is it a case of too big, too fast for Vertafore? They don’t seem to be interested in providing top-grade support to all their product lines.

It’s important to us our customers get the most value out of their Vertafore solutions. Besides just the basic functionality of an agency management system we think well beyond what independent insurance agencies will need to run their business not just today but into the future, like our e-signature partnership with DocuSign, our ability to offer direct downloads with Progressive Insurance and strong presence in industry wide ID Federation efforts. While FISERV may offer a product at a lesser price we’re confident it’s not an apples to apples comparison.

We know many of our ImageRight customers have been with us for a long time and experienced a lot of change. We value you feedback and want to continue to improve the experience you’re having with our products and services. In the near future we will making some announcements that will be very exciting particularly for our customers who use ImageRight. In the meantime if you’d like to speak with your account manager about any of your concerns, please let me know.

I don’t have a dog in this hunt, but I will say, Vertafore, your reply is quite condescending. Perhaps you should ease up on the sales pitch.

Vertafore is only about making money. When you purchased ModMaster, the price went up 5 times what it was and we had to drop it. A big loss to OUR client base, but evidently not to yours. You should concentrate less on growing and monopolizing the market and more on serving your customers. You may be the biggest in town, but so was AIG at one point. Don’t forget those who made you what you are.

Vertafore is literally the worst company in the U.S.: greedy, liars, unfair. At lease this is my experience. I have not dealt with the company, that was less enjoyable working with, than Vertafore.
They’re masking old technology under “new” interface – something that Applied has done in 2009 with Epic (the fact Vertafore sales people repeat non-stop).
Vertafore’s approach is to buy and phase out competitors.
It took them 2 years to start supporting IE10…
64-bit Windows? It is still NOT supported… 5 years from release of Windows 7…
And their “Transact Now” element is crappy and buggy.
If you read this – do yourself a favor and avoid Vertafore as much as you can. Run from it. This is THE worst company.

(Vertafore Client) Thank you for adding your comment to the discussion. We’re truly sorry you have not had a positive experience with us. Since we don’t know your name we can’t comment on your particular situation, but we do sense your frustration. There are over 1200 of us working hard to deliver value to our customers every day, sometimes we fall short in our goals. We’re very proud of the new products we’re bringing to market and hope we can engage with you directly in the future. Thanks again.

One clarification – Applied Systems Epic is NOT old technology. It is a completely new product, not a new interface over TAM. TAM is still DBased, but Epic is completely different platform and completely different programming – SQL based.
IF Vertafore salespeople are saying different, well more proof that they don’t understand Epic’s superiority over AMS360.

Vertafore…many of our clients use ImageRight and given our industry many may investigate these new product offerings in the near future. After reading your article along with the comments above and our connection with the P&C industry it seems plausible that our services would greatly benefit you & your strategic marketing / implementation plans! Those are some tough reviews on a big stage! Good luck!

We’ve been with Vertafore/AMS360 7-10 years. We feel trapped now with the price increases and new system charges. We are pleased with AMS360 overall but we don’t have access to competition that might help keep their pricing down. We get the increase every year and our rotating marketing rep (changes every 6-8 months) says that just they way it is.
