If a good class action attorney was filing, the punitive damages would be enormous.

Agent, you are right and this is exactly the kind of case for which punitive damages were created. Acts of gross intentional negligence.

Agent, this is exactly the type of case for which punitive damages were created. You are correct.

They usually try to get treble damages for punitive, don’t they? Maybe Eric Holder will intervene and save the day for GM to keep the settlement down.

Boy oh boy…I remember the arguments, Buy GM! Buy GM! I am certainly glad I did not buy GM as look at all of the recalls and the apparent gross negligenc at the management level…similar to the current Obama administration.

Why does every topic on here have to turn political? Can’t a discussion about GM just be a discusssion about GM?

Now now Libby, Eric Cantor can fix this mess now that he doesn’t have a job and his naked yoga buddy Jack Daniels Boehner can help in the fall.

Of course it has relevance as many of these transgressions came when it was literally “Government Motors.” The govt seems to pick the wrong companies to bail out, whom afterwards have one scandal or another:

GM, AIG, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae…

This ignition problem started 11 years ago. Hardly during the government ownership. And ownership does not equal oversight. The government was not managing how GM made cars, only it’s finances.

Even if we WERE to blame the government, who was in office 11 years ago?

He had just as much culpability as Obama. None.
