Getting a grip on unlawful fraudulent enterprise and its operations can be tricky and misleading. Keep that in mind.

No mention of UM/UIM coverages, which for a taxi (at least in my state) is mandatory. I have read some rider comments about intoxicated drivers with no where to go to complain (I would just call the police to complain, but that is me). Drivers don’t have to have special drivers license — if it isn’t a big deal, why do taxi cab drivers need a special license?

This article addresses liability pretty well. However, it appears there is no way for a rideshare driver to insure their own auto for physical damage when involved in rideshare activity. After all, their primary personal auto policy excludes ALL coverage (not just liability) during rideshare use.

On a PAP loaded with physical damage, UM, PIP, med pay, loss of use, etc, the rideshare driver voids thousands of dollars of their own benefits if an accident occurs during rideshare use. That seems a huge negative trade-off for the bit of $ earned by rideshare driving.
