SIAA Adds 204 Member Agencies in First 6 Months 2014

The Strategic Insurance Agency Alliance, or SIAA, signed 204 new member agencies in the first six months of 2014, including its 5,000th member agency since its inception in 1995.

SIAA also reached $5 billion in in-force premium during this six-month period.

SIAA’s 5,000th member agency is Johnson & Johnson Insurance Services LLC of Columbia, Md., which signed with the Potomac Insurance Network, one of the 49 master agencies that comprise SIAA.

SIAA also said it launched three new initiatives in the first half of 2014 for member agencies grow:
• Business Insurance Advantage, an educational program that gives member agencies the ability to start or grow a profitable book of small commercial lines business.
• Agency Foundation, a program designed to assist new member start-up agencies get established sooner than might otherwise be possible.
• A series of proprietary ACORD form training curriculum located in the SIAA Training & Learning Center.

SIAA is a national insurance agency alliance dedicated to the creation, retention, growth and continued success of the independent insurance agency distribution system. According to SIAA, an estimated 13 percent of all independent agencies in the United States are members.
