I’d take anything they say with a huge grain of salt.

“The White House claimed that the banner was requested by the crew of the ship, who did not have the facilities for producing such a banner. Afterward, the administration and naval sources stated that the banner was the Navy’s idea, White House staff members made the banner, and it was hung by the U.S. Navy personnel. White House spokesman Scott McClellan told CNN, “We took care of the production of it. We have people to do those things. But the Navy actually put it up.” According to John Dickerson of Time magazine, the White House later conceded that they hung the banner but still insists it had been done at the request of the crew members.”

Hmmmmm. Sounds like Bush “lied.” What a “scandal!” Where’s the investigation by Congress? Where’s the impeachment? You see how silly all these “scandals” are? Obama says Benghazi was caused by a video. Bush says Mission Accomplished. So what? Move on. There is no scandal here.

Trust me FFA, this is all about the Carbon Exchange, selling Carbon credits and increasing cost of doing business. If this passes, more and more companies will move offshore and cost more American jobs. The lib scientists have had their theories debunked, but the left keeps pushing it because the media will give them the air time.

FFA, speaking of 1%ers, many on the left say our tax structure has not changed. I suppose it hasn’t for some in the lower brackets, but Obamacare has many changes built in.
        1. Top tax bracket went from 35% to 39.6%
        2. Top Income Payroll tax went from 37.4% to 52.2%
        3. Capital Gains Tax went from 15% to 28%
        4. Dividends tax went from 15% to 39.6%
        5. Estate Tax went from 0% to 55%

These taxes were passed by Democrats with no Republican votes. If you like these taxes, you can keep them and keep voting Democrat.

Seems to me that the more drum beating you hear about climate change, the more people are tuning it out. If we didn’t have to worry about putting food on the table or seeing higher levels of crime and criminals being released early or higher levels of drug use or war-the problems that really do affect us, then maybe we’d have more of an interest in seeing if climate change was a real problem.
Having grown up in the era of dire warnings of “global nuclear winter”, the “disappearing ozone layer” and now this, I’m personally a bit skeptical and the “proof” that has been offered doesn’t impress.
I’m keeping an open mind, but man there are millions like me out there that just hasn’t been swayed.

Peddling the bicycles would turn turbines therefore generating electricity, just like wind mills. Did you ever see the SportsCenter commercial with Lance Armstrong (the fine, honest and upstanding Texan) who was peddling to generate electricity for the network?

On a related note, one of my clients does Solar Panel Installs. For my 1500 sq ft house, he told me about $5000 for the panels + installation would provide over 80% of my need. Maybe another $1500 if I wanted to convert to electric heat.

FFA, where are these Solar Panels made? As you know Solyndra and several others went out of business after receiving hundreds of millions on their government loan. Are you sure the panels would hold up to the blizzards that hit Wisconsin in the winter. We can’t use them down here because of hail exposure in the spring and summer. Wouldn’t that be a fun loss to adjust and how long would it take to get the re-installation done in the winter?

Apparently, they are now availible in kit form at Amazon. Not sure about the durability (Wind/Hail). Central Wis weather dont differ too much from Chicago. Much colder. More snow. Been 4 years since hail hit vs every year down here. I do have to do more research. Lots of wood burners around that area. LPG gets expensive.

FFA, the US is the world’s largest producer of LPG and could actually supply Europe instead of the Russians if we chose to strike a deal, which Obama won’t. There is no real reason why LPG is so expensive in this country other than the EPA and taxes on it.

Since we are not a socialist country, how is it President Obama’s responsibility to strike a deal? Is there anything for which you won’t blame him? Talk to the LPG industry leaders.

You complain about the price of LGP, yet want to put it on the open market. What do you think will happen to prices when demand doubles and supply does not keep up? That is why gasoline is still at historic highs at the same time oil production is at an all-time high.

Do you not know that Russia has been supplying natural gas to Europe for many years? Do you not know the best way to hurt Putin is in the pocketbook? No, I didn’t think so. Also, you apparently don’t know that we sit on the world’s largest supply of natural gas. All this country has to do is free it up, but your precious environmentalists have sway in Washington and it won’t be done for at least 2 more years.

About 4 years ago Peta “published” and pushed a study that the government paid for that showed that cattle, both dairy and beef sent more emissions into the air than all the automobiles in America. I don’t know it that is true, but they were using that to publicize they rants about eating meat and drinking milk. Seems to me the white house is constantly trying to change the subject away from failure back to hope and change. not working except to their religiously faithful.
