    Surprising.
For the NC Outer Banks, NOAA funded LiDAR mapping shows nearly 60% of structures coming out of Flood Zone.
    That shows Sea Level Falling.
    Completely different from this article.

Bill, do you know if they looked at the engineering of cities and stormwater discharge as a possible culprit as well? With more people and more concrete and impermeable surface area, water is now forced into systems that are not able to handle rainfall and/or surge. Seems like this would be a major factor, more so than sea level rise. Maybe I didn’t dig enough into the report.

I guess it depends on who does the study and the mapping. In New Orleans after much debate the maps were changed again. This makes one wonder if we are in a Global Warming period or a Global Cooling period. It also makes if difficult to trust our elected officials. In NY the gov. wants to build a wall around Manhattan. Sound good unless you are the poor soul who’s home is where the wall ends.I also wonder where are we getting the money to build shch a wall. Taxes are way out of control at this point.

I don’t believe that od Port Isabel, Texas as the sea level is not rising but that a subdivision but in the 1980 was build into the bay that did not raise the land high enough as the town of Port Isabel is higher the city of south padre island, Texas .

Show me proof. I have lived in Brownsville, Texas since 1941.
