Why is it that the government can not get it together? Oh I remember because they write bills and regulations so complex that they don’t even fully understand all of them.

Solution to this problem is really simple follow the principles of the constitution and let the states take care of the states and reduce the federal government back to the powers that the founders gave it.

Just in FFA. 52% of applicants understated their income to get the maximum subsidy and now have to pay IRS back the penalty. Everyone tries to game the system because of this disastrous law and now they will have to pay the piper. Enjoy your Healthcare America brought to you by the Messiah, Pelosi & Reid.

The article also says – “Those that use the special enrollment period must attest that they paid the fine for last year already and that they first became aware of the consequence for not having health insurance while filing their taxes.”

Those that use the special enrollment must attest that they are the stupid Americans that Gruber was talking about. This also applies to the Dems that are now saying that they did not realize that the Americans would be penalized if they were not enrolled.

Well Agent, I am on a fence with Dead Fish. He took on the teachers union. He has been closing schools that are failing. He has opened up more charter schools that are producing College Ready students. His Graduation rate is the highest is ever been. Its that darn Murder rate that keeps dogging him. Some months break records for both highs and lows. He has brought in some big business to Chicago giving tax incentives to these folks (very Undemocratic). If not for Latino & Union folks, Rahm probably would have run away with it.

He hasn’t fixed the Murder issue and that’s a big one. Record Low one month, record high the next averages out to same old same old.

His work with the schools needs to be applauded. That is the blue print that Aurora has used to get a grip on the gang situation. Higher + Better education = less gang bangers.

Plus, he seems to be breaking the union grip on Chicago. Leaves the question as to why the Teachers Union is so against the Charter Schools. Could it be a condition of employment is they don’t have to join the union?

Anyways, like I stated earlier, the jury is still out on this guy.

My guess Chuy don’t stand a chance on the run off. Rahm has OBama supporting him and Chicago people for the most part love OBama.

Anyways, none of my concern as I am a suburbanite soon to be Cheese Head… Just hate the fact that there will be more political adds.

He has not had it due to financial stress. Needs it. Cant get it. At least, prior to OBama screwing up the system, I could have got him enrolled in ICHIP. Now, he is left hanging with nothing and can not get the medical attention he needs.

FFA, He can also pay the fine/tax as well now. I suppose he can go to the Emergency Room like all the uninsured did prior to Obamacareless. All one has to do is scream loudly coming in the door and they will take you right back for treatment. Yes, I have observed that when I had to take my wife in a while back and we were waiting patiently in the waiting room, insurance card in hand.

If the person was screaming “I don’t care if I don’t have insurance, I need a band-aid for my papercut” then I’d agree 100% with your frustrations.

If the person was screaming “I JUST GOT SHOT 5 TIMES AND I’M BLEEDING OUT OF MY CHEST IN 3 DIFFERENT PLACES AND I CAN’T BREATHE” then I’m glad they let him in right away for treatment!

Generally speaking, screaming while entering the ER is a pretty good indicator that the person is actually having an emergency. I’m curious to know what the person was actually screaming about in your story.

KY, we know you are a worker bee and often don’t comment on stories. About a year ago, we had an article about collision repairs on vehicles. Libby proclaimed she was a claims manager and recommended dismantling cars to find out if they should be totaled. We had quite a discussion about adjustors and body shops and the added cost to dismantle a vehicle before totaling it. I maintained that a good adjustor in conjunction with the body shop can determine 99% of the time whether the vehicle is a total or not.

Actually, Libby is pretty old, I think around 60 and has contemplated retiring from the business. She is old enough to know better, but somewhere along the way, she was radicalized by the Progressive left and is now a true believer. I think she was hypnotized into believing the left’s mantra and their anti American agenda.

Yeah I knew that she was 55+ but like I said, had the Leftist idealism of a 20 year old social justice crusader.

Hi Always, 60 is not that old, but it is very unusual that a 60 year old turns into a wild eyed Liberal after admitting they voted for Reagan in the old days. She hates Bush for “getting” us into the Iraq war after we were attacked on 9/11 and every intelligence source in the known world said Saddam had WMD’s and even the UN passed 17 resolutions against Saddam who wouldn’t let inspectors in for a year. The bigger mistake made was daddy Bush not finishing the job the first time with Stormin Norman. Instead, they let Saddam stick around and reconstitute his forces and keep making WMD’s. Then, enough time went by so he could squirrel everything away to Syria and Assad used them on his own people. What a farce.

Not to mention the New York Times (of all sources) broke the story that our military has been digging up WMDs/Chemical weapons in Iraq for at least the past 6 years or more but they haven’t been able to talk about it.

I hadn’t seen that Destro, but I did see where the military found an old plant outside Baghdad and found remnants of chemical weapons which had been made there. Of course, the current administration would not let the military talk about it since it was anti Bush and Democrats had been calling him a liar for years.
