C’mon, you people are silly if you worry about dying from these things. Now, a shark attack is legit! I worry about that every time I go in the water, ocean or lake!

It’s worse than you thought – don’t even have to be in water: see Sharknado.

Don’t worry Franklin, there are now tracking apps on sharks so you will know where they are before you go in.

Person says “Who is it?” Voice from other side of the door says “Candygram.” Now that is terrifying.

Franklin, I don’t think you would find many sharks in fresh water lakes since they tend to be salt water fish.

No need to evacuate from hurricanes, the odds are so small. Electricians would be out of business if everybody new the odds of electrocution was so small.

These odds don’t tell us how dangerous each activity is since the odds are influenced by our ability to avoid dangerous activities.

It sure is easy to get published.

The first thing I do is evacuate when I hear a tornado/hurricane is coming. Then I leave.

Car crash vs airplaine crash. The odds cannot be right. Not 1 out of 112 car driver dies every day. I think it means that out of 112 car crash, 1 will involve fatalities. But if we compute the same figure for airplane crashes, out of 1 airpline crash, 1 will involve fatalities.

I believe the article mentions these are lifetime odds. So instead of 1 out of 112 car driver dies every day it is 1 out of 112 car driver dies from a car accident in their lifetime. So if you graduated with a 112 people in your class then statistically 1 of them will die in a car accident.

I believe the stats are lifetime odds not daily odds.

The bullet point says the odds are 1/96,566 for dying in a plane crash and the graph says 1/8,015.

The bullet point says commercial plane crash. Maybe the graph also includes private planes ? odds of a private or small plane crash are certainly much higher.
