I don’t understand why the Feds are charging UPS w/discrimination when in fact, the US Military doesn’t allow beards/long hair either. So why sue UPS for the very thing that our military–which is a FEDERAL entity, doesn’t allow?? Is the military discriminating also? Just wondering.

Michele, in light of events of the past 14 years with Muslims, perhaps UPS didn’t want to alarm their customers with a Muslim man delivering a package to a business. Businesses should have a right to hire whoever they want and enforce proper dress and appearance. It is good business practice no matter what the religion is of the employee.

Michele, I went to breakfast last week at Ihop and saw a group of Army guys in there in their camos. All were well groomed and uniforms spotless and shoes shined. I went up to them, shook their hand and thanked them for their service. You should have seen their smiles.

The New York Yankees require all of their players be clean shaven & well groom, or they don’t play. Why not the same for my UPS driver? If you don’t like the rules, go find a job where you will!

My thought exactly. If UPS has had this policy for years, then go a find a job where this is not a policy. I don’t believe in discrimination but if you read the employee guidelines when you went to work there, then you should know you will not get a job in the customer side or management side.

Seriously, people just want to sue, to sue and not respect the company rules. I don’t like some of the rules of the company I work for either, but I adhere to them. If I don’t want to, then I have the right to go work somewhere else. Plain and simple.

Hey Barb, it does seem to work for the Yankees to have well groomed players since they lead their division and pulling away from the others who have less groomed players. That, and the biggest payroll in baseball does wonders.

I find it more than a little funny that agent is no more extreme than I, and yet you respond to him and not I.

Could it be that you targeted him due to your perceived ability to get people to insult him?

Or for your perceived ability to be able to dominate him?

        Eh? Bully?

You say you ignore people who don’t argue constructively, but you seem to think Agent doesn’t.

As is evident by your childish constant comments towards him being indoctrinated and his words having no thought or merit, and calling him a troll.

Seems to me you choose not to ignore him for a reason separate from me.

The biggest one as stated above being: You think you can push him around.

David, I hardly think that any customer would be offended with a UPS driver coming through the front door with a cross necklace or a yarmulke. However, Muslims have a very bad track record the past 15+ years and it has been proven again today with the shooting in Chattanooga where we had 4 Marines killed at the hands of one. In my view, this country needs to wake up. The Califate is starting and all Muslim men under 35 needs to be rounded up and sent back where they came from.

By the way, do you remember saying that Planned Parenthood videos were incomplete and wait for the investigation. In today’s news on Townhall.com, the story is now coming out. Dr. Mary Gatter, a Planned Parenthood big shot is heard haggling over baby parts sales because she wants a new Lamborghini. Doesn’t sound to me like a non profit only getting shipping charges to dispose of baby’s hearts, livers, lungs, does it to you? Now, there are calls to defund them. It should have been done a long time ago.

I agree our discussions have been reasonable and respectful recently. I hope we can keep that up! :D

As for Planned Parenthood – I did not hear that. I’m reluctant to believe it for one major reason: I already watched the entire 3+ hour video (not just the highly edited one that was released) and I can say with 100% confidence that the Lambo item was not part of the video in any way, shape, or form.

I do not know how someone with any respect for the truth could watch that video and then decide to make something up that’s clearly not on the film at all.

Was the Lambo comment really supposed to be part of the full-length video that started this mess? If so, I will stand up for Planned Parenthood and fight that lie since I know nothing like that was actually on the film.

If it was part of a different video, well, that’s another matter. Obviously would like to see it for myself before passing judgement, but if it’s true, then I’d definitely join your side and argue against them for their despicable actions.

What is amazing to me is how blase’ they are about life, talking about body parts they are selling and the sorry woman saying she wanted a Lamborghini from sales. That is about as horrible as it gets and she should be prosecuted because it is against the law and federal funding jerked from Planned Parenthood. Let them get by on private funds from now on instead of my tax dollars.

By the way, Dez Bryant got his money, $70 million for 5 years. I am not sure how they worked that out with the Cap. Perhaps when they let Murray go to the Eagles, it freed up some money. I hope he lasts 5 years. $42.5 million is guaranteed. Now, he can go out and buy a house for mama, keep his relatives in the style they have been accustomed to and he will be broke 5 years after he retires.

Considering how much you talk about how Reagan’s failed trickle down economics ruined the country, (you may think this is not related, but it is) I think you might need to rethink your commentary that “progressive socialist” does not meet what Obama’s agenda is.

If Reagan’s tax rates destroyed the nation by killing wealth distribution to the poor as you have said often, it would seem you believe Obama will distribute wealth to the poor.

Now what would we call that again?

Perhaps…Progressive tax rates…And relying on the government to distribute wealth might be…A form of socialism…

Hey FFA, you know when the Blue States started agitating for the $15 per hour wage and thought it was a great idea to pull employees out of poverty? Well, that plan seems to have backfired in wonderful Seattle. The story out today is that employees found out they would make too much money to collect their benefits and they request that they get fewer hours so they won’t exceed the wage threshold. They do like their entitlements.

Many restaurants in Seattle are putting a $15 surcharge on meals now and telling customers not to tip. Waiters/waitresses depend on their tips to make it so they are getting hurt and the only ones who like it are the burger flippers. I have a feeling that more restaurants will fail because customers will not be willing to put up with a $15 surcharge on their bill and will stop eating out. More Progressive idiocy and unintended consequences.

I just read on FB post that there are several Mc Donalds on the verge of collapse. They wanted higher pay checks and soon, many of them will have none.

No lessons learned from what is going on with Chicago Schools. 1400 Pink Slips because they all want pay raises.

And IL Law Makers just keep whining about their pay raises. Sad. Pathetic. Ugly.

FFA, after all, they do have Robert Gibbs, former mouthpiece of Obama hired as VP Marketing now. No wonder many are in trouble as he seeks to make them more Progressive. Another dufus that knows nothing about how business works.

Planet, we all know you are an America hater, no need to further try to justify yourself. Is your Hy Vee owned by Muslims? If they were Patriotic, they would have had that flag at half staff the morning after the shooting.

if you don’t like the company’s employment practices, A. go find another job or B. go back to your own country! I don’t care if it’s not politically correct, it’s my opinion and for the few UPS drivers that raise a stink over it, too bad. I’m so tired of ANY religion causing grief like this. If your religion is so important to you, then research a company before you apply. Find out dress code/attire/whatever. The land of the free??? Not any more for law abiding citizens. It’s only free if you want to sue someone.

FFA, after nearly 7 years of Obama, the low information voters have been conditioned to think they are “entitled” and have figured out how to get on the government gravy train. With nearly 100 million people over age 16 not working, you can see that we have a huge problem. Margaret Thatcher once said that the trouble with Socialism is that you soon run out of other people’s money. She was 100% correct.
