Jack, we have been having El Nino’s for a very long time and it is naturally occurring. Our Global Warming President tries to convince us that man can do something about it and it is the most serious national security issue we face. Farmer’s Almanac is far more accurate predicting weather patterns.

Farmer’s Almanac is accurate less than 50% of the time. Actual climate models are far more accurate, but you ignore that, because it doesn’t support your predetermined belief. You are an idiot, and a dishonest person.

Based on the recent accuracy of forecasting the track of Tropical Storm Erika, it looks California remains in a drought and the Northeast USA is in for a frigid winter with heavy snow.

Why do I have to keep reminding you about this, Agent? When talking about Global Warming, you have to look at what occurred to the entire planet and not just one specific area. Sure, the Great Lakes froze over last year, but the entire planet had the hottest year humans ever recorded.

Rosenblatt, why do I have to keep reminding you that your Global Warming theories are “hot air”? The folks you are trusting are cooking the books on readings and they were caught doing it. The earth has been cooling since 1978, not getting warmer. The latest prediction is that we will be having a mini ice age by 2030. You need to wake up and smell the coffee.

            Annual Average Temperatures since 1980:
            1980s 14.18C or 57.52F
            1990s 14.31C or 57.76F
            2000s 14.51C or 58.12F

Those numbers are going up – the earth hasn’t been cooling since 1978 – it’s been warming up. Please stop making up facts without having any evidence to support them.

It makes me question everything else you say is true when you mention a “fact” yet the total opposite is the real truth.

Quit using your Al Gore numbers to try to prove your point. Al Gore has been thoroughly discounted as an authority on Global Warming. The earth has been cooling and will continue to do so.

To continue this conversation with empirical evidence instead of just conjecture, can you please provide me with a link to your source that supports your argument that the entire planet has cooled over the past 30+ years, please?

I’m older than 35 years, and if cycles turn that often, I’m OK with the weather being affected by humans to the extent we’ve seen in the last 35 years. (0.6 “F-in” Farenheit degrees! Woop-dee-do! )

What it means: Al Gore will get a minor reprieve from being accused of being a fraud by the less analytic, less thoughtful crowd.

What I want to know is when will the next Ice Age be predicted by liberals, and how can they profit from it?

The fereeze over of the Great Lakes last winter was not as intense as the winter before. We’ll see what happens this winter. Up until this week, the Midwest summer was pretty mild, meaning not too hot. Not sure what that foreshadows for the winter, if anything.

Rosenblatt, we have had this argument for arguments sake before. You believe what you believe and I believe the other side. There are numerous articles available on Google on Global Warming Fiascos, how the data has been doctored on NOAA, NASA and others and the measurement adjustments that had to be made. They blow up all your government facts like a cheap balloon. Climate Change/Global Warming is just about as accurate as Obamacare was when it was passed.

30 years of “data” for a planet 4.5 BILLION YEARS OLD. Global Warming….sorry…”CLIMATE CHANGE” …. is nothing more than another tax/wealth stealing scam compliments of the oligarchs. It’s designed to exert more control over our lives while lowering our standard of living.

No, I’m busy with meaningful stats today. Temp drops over the last 30 years are irrelevant, unless you are a liberal trying to make your case for Global ALARMING taxation based on a censored data-set.

Take off your blinders and view much longer time periods of global temp stats, actually measured or estimated, and you will learn something useful.

Classic Agent reply – I ask for evidence to support your argument and you reply with more conjecture. Can you find even just ONE piece of empirical evidence that says the earth’s average temperatures (as a whole, you know – globally) have decreased over the past 30 years? Just one, that’s all I’m asking for from you.

@ Rosenblatt: it seems the past 30 years are critical to the support of your Global ALARMING taxation theory. AmIRight?

Can you expand your time horizon ten-fold or a hundred-fold; i.e. not censor the data you use, and sustain the viability of your hypothesis?

Yogi – the only reason I asked about the last 30 years was because Agent initially wrote “The earth has been cooling since 1978, not getting warmer” which I do not agree with what so ever. 30 years is the time frame Agent threw out there to start this discussion.

Forgot to add – yes, it’s TOTALLY okay to expand the time horizon greater than 30 years! Ten fold or a hundred fold, I completely agree that climate change should be about long-term weather patterns, and that 30 years isn’t really all that long in the history of the planet.

Good one Yogi. We all noticed when Al Gore’s warnings were completely discredited, they quickly changed course to call it Climate Change. Gore was so brilliant, he won a Nobel by saying the polar ice cap would be completely gone by 2014.

We will most likely be affected more by changes in the sun’s radiation & sun spots than by anything going on here on earth. However, the environmental dufuses want us to spend $100 Trillion to reduce C02 by 1% thinking that will save the planet.

It is alarming to me that this has to be debated so hotly juste because someone made this a “political issue”. We didn’t know that the media was “liberal” until Fox and friends started slanting the news to the right; before that, the media was the media. What a great idea to add labels so that we don’t have to do any research or investigating on our own and just rely on what we are being told, and I don’t care who is doing the saying. The real issue is that if we accept the science that shows that humans are shitting where they eat by ignoring human causes, we’ll have to come up with some kind of plan to mitigate the consequences…and this is what the left/right debate revolves around: MONEY! and more than that it is who’s money. the right wants to ignore this so that they don’t have to pony up the taxes that they expect will be needed IF it is real. what i don’t understand is why they don’t take this as an opportunity to fund new industries and invest in innovations targeting the waste and ineffeciencies we already know about, instead of worrying about what is real or not. This is really shortsighted, to just discredit those who interpret the resuls of years of gathering data…do we really have to wait until ALL the polar ice is gone before someone realizes that we were wrong? Stop this madness and get with it: greenhouse gases are real and do real damage…we’ve already proven we have the ability, as in chlorofluoro carbon gases. what we lack is the will, and certainly not the money but money won’t help us when it is too late to reverse the damage. I can see us now as the cockroaches of the galaxy, overpopulating our planet, using up all the resources and then the wealthy trying to buy their way out of it while the rest of us have to just “live” with it….have they not learned from the French revolution? do we just let “them” eat cake?

It’s time to grow up and put your obvious powers to create your own theories in you head and spout the endless drivel supplied in the media by the conservatives, as well as supply the same, tired, lame and absolutely inane anecdotal evidence supplied by the supplicants to the conservative “visionaries” of people of your ilk, such as Rush Limbaugh, Donald Trump and Bjorn Lomborg, to good use by actually checking facts and doing real honest-to-god research. I know you can do it!
