So sorry former Chubb employee’s. as if things weren’t bad enough with Chubb’s conversion from the former “Family” owned and operated company now you have Greenberg to deal with.

Hopefully he doesn’t screw up Chubb like he did ACE or Fireman’s Fund.

Please elaborate how Evan screwed up ACE or Fireman’s Fund? I believe it was Allianz that ruined Fireman’s Fund (value lost of about $750 million since their acquisition), and ACE is running a sub-90% combined ratio consistently for 10+ years with aggressive growth and diversification. Looking forward to your reply….

Good luck to Evan and crew. As Evan matured I hope he has picked up a few of his fathers traits, which made Hank A giant in his day. If AIG breaks up will CHUBB be there to pick up the pieces? There will be some fierce Business IP floating around just wiating to hatch another idea.

Farewell to the Chubb logo. While the old one had various nicknames, nobody will miss the industrial look of the new one. Good luck, just keep my pension coming.

ACE is the bigger company so why isn’t that name being used as the brand.

When the company being acquired has a more recognizable or more respected name than the buying company, it may make sense to adopt that more recognized name.

Another example of this was when Norwest Bank bought Wells Fargo in 1998. Norwest adopted Wells Fargo as their name after the merger. Wells Fargo clearly had a cultural currency greater than that of Norwest.

Hmm. They should have asked me. They should have named the new merged company Chubby-ACE.
So far Evan G has not laid an AIG.
