So I guess the plaintiff lawyers won’t get any money either. What a shame. I also read this in another article “According to the company, Robert Scheuer altered the original check by adding “$441” to the original amount, $430.72, making it appear to be $441,430.72.” And he thought no one would notice that? Sheesh.
Dave, you would be correct about that. They advertise all the time in our area showing staged accidents and bragging how much they can get for their clients. I believe we could shut all the law schools down for 20 years and still have way too many lawyers.
Plaintiff should have to reimburse GM for every dime spent to defend this suit. If Plaintiff can’t come up with the money, his lawyer should have to pay on his behalf. Call it a reverse contingency.
Loser pays would eliminate all these garbage lawsuits and turn lots of ambulance chasers into burger flippers.

Are all ambulance chasers and their clients scumbags as the case appears to be here?

That my friend is a scary thought. Now for the lawyer jokes.
What do you call 1,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?
A good start.

If they were turned into burger flippers, they would sue for $15 per hour.
