    Wait!

    John Heinz Kerry recently said AIR CONDITIONERS were the greatest threat facing (Western Civilization) us today and in the future.

    IIRC, Kerry was flying in a private jet, or was in an air conditioned room at the time he made that remark.

    Who’s right; Kerry or Comey?

    Regardless, I think one or both of them may be a Closet Air Conditioner.

      I would love to see these people go a day in the summer without A/C in their office or home. By the way, my A/C accounts call them Heat Exchangers. Takes heat out of the air and exchanges it for cool. That’s pretty cool to me.

            Yogi, just trying to be a rational voice in your numeric (and meaningless) debate. I think it’s important to point out that your buddy Agent is the one who started the conversation on the number of times “I” was said, indicating that ‘reports are that the Narcissist in Chief mentioned “I” well over 100 times. Confused stated that his sources reflected less than 100 times. Their statements are nearly identical in theory. However, you seem to wish to only go after Confused on his statement and make snarky comments about actually counting, etc. Then you state that it is a meaningless count…guess it’s only meaningful if it’s from your buddy. Why aren’t you asking Agent this same question, (copied and pasted), “Why haven’t you posted an EXACT count? Is it beyond the twenty fingers and toes you used to take your preliminary count?”

            I don’t expect a meaningful response.

    To defeat any extremist ideology, one has to look for its sources and how it is nurtured and exported. The blueprint for ISIS was laid out long ago by the Iranian regime which pioneered state-sponsored terrorism by formalizing its deployment in its Quds Forces, backed by the resources of the Revolutionary Guard Corps and excused by the theological nonsense espoused by the regime’s mullahs. To say the Iranian regime is the godfather of Islamic terror would be accurate. To say the Iranian regime gave birth to ISIS is even more accurate. Only by dealing effectively with Iran and pushing back its forces abroad back within Iran can we hope to curb the influence of the Revolutionary Guards and more importantly the nihilistic ideology the people like Ali Khamenei peddle. No matter how the Iran apologists try to paper over the spread and growth of Islamic extremism, the root and source of that poisoned tree lies in Tehran with deep roots.

Of course the liberals who opposed the war and said it would create a Shia Crescent, empowering Iran were call traitors and accused of treason. The war you guys supported in order to destroy radical Islam did nothing but strengthen the most radical, drastically strengthen Iran (which I hate to break it to you, has only been reversed under Obama/Kerry/Clinton), strengthen Russia, weaken the US strategically and morally, as well as adding about $6 trillion into a giant pile of wasted money.

        False.

        ISIS exists only because Obama’s haste to withdraw US forces from Iraq was careless, incompetent, and driven exclusively to appease his constituents rather than to achieve longer term harmony and peace.

        Read the facts on the internet about the Iraq War and ISIS before you post any more stupid, foolish, lies.

            I do not think you know the meaning of the word “vetted”
            ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
            To “vet” something or someone, according to standard dictionary definitions, means in this context “to evaluate for possible approval or acceptance” or “to examine a person’s record to see that it is acceptable.” And nobody can honestly deny that all refugees — Syrians in particular — are examined and evaluated, and rather extensively.
            The U.S. State Department says that all refugees “are subject to the highest level of security checks of any category of traveler to our country.” The process includes reviews by the FBI, the National Counterterrorism Center and the Department of Homeland Security.
            In the case of refugees from Syria, an “enhanced” review is made, which can include referral to the Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
            All refugees are fingerprinted and their prints compared to those on file in the biometric databases of the FBI, Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense, which includes fingerprint records captured in Iraq and elsewhere. In the case of refugees from Syria, iris scans are also used.
            We also finger print and track gun owners. I should just point that out. Finger printing does nothing to stop violence. It just makes it possible to track the person who did the violence. That is just side note, nothing to do with vetting.
            Currently if there is no red flag, the default is yes.
            A heavier version of vetting would be to default no, and require a high level in order to obtain a yes.
            Also, the person who always loses an argument is the one who tries to take the flaws in someone’s speech to mean there is a flaw in someone’s concept. Humans use the wrong words all the time.
            Using that to be able to then dismiss their concept, is extremely sleazy.
            The real question here, is do we have a reason to stop allowing Muslims from war torn nations to be coming into the country?
            The answer is “yes”.
            In other words, I just defined the reason why the answer should be yes, by asking the question itself. It allows debate.
            If I instead took out the dictionary for what “yes” means, it wouldn’t even make sense.
            “Yes” isn’t the argument, though yes is the answer.
            This sounds like it’s not the same thing, when you aren’t very well educated in debating. But it is.
            When you try to define vett you take away from the question of what should be done.
            Obama plans to use the vetting process that we have in place. Anyone who believes that vetting process is adequate is very naïve.
            These refugees are coming from a third world country (or countries). Do you really think the majority of terrorists have already been finger printed and had their iris’ scanned? I would be shocked if there were 10% of the refugee population that had their fingerprints taken. Just because there is no “hit” in the systems, it does not mean they are not terrorists of Muslims that sympathize with the cause.
            Let’s try to use some common sense. Isn’t the problems that Europe (including Germany) enough indication that proper and adequate vetting is not possible?
    I would like our president and presidential candidates to focus on countermeasures and solutions. In my humble opinion, this will require everyone’s involvement. So, what do you say about profiling those that have been involved, identifying tactics, and potential targets THEN educating the public and requesting their assistance. This was the method used in Europe for years and now that it is at our backdoor, perhaps we can consider doing the same. This does mean – FORGET about political correctness and profile based on FACTS.
      “When Hugo Chavez first took office as Venezuela’s president in 1999, the country wasn’t exactly anybody’s economic model. Great oil riches had been squandered, repeatedly. Inflation was a recurrent problem. … The economy wasn’t growing much. Almost half the population was below the country’s poverty line. In 1998, the unemployment rate was 11.8 percent. Unemployment for 2015 is officially at 6.8 percent”
    But who deleted it?
    It has become more difficult for ISIS terrorists to enter the USA… and easier for Trump to make his case for higher degrees of vetting immigrants….
    http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/khan-specializes-in-visa-programs-accused-of-selling-u.s.-citizenship/article/2598279
    excerpted:
    The EB-5 program has been caught up in multiple scandals and critics are pressing Congress to kill it.
    “The EB-5 is literally a ‘citizenship for sale’ program in which a visa for a whole family can be bought for as little $500,000,” Vaughan told Secrets. “It is literally a ‘citizenship for sale’ program, and it’s an amazing deal. Compared to other countries, America is the Walmart of investor visa programs,” she added.
    ………………………………………………………………
    Wow! This supports the case for (Trump calling for) strict vetting procedures to be used before Muslim refugees are granted entry into the US for LEGITIMATE reasons, and not for cash for lawyers like Khan.
    What a ‘Khan-man scheme’ by the DNC to gain sympathy for Hilliary and put down Trump! Oopsy! They (DNC) should have more thoroughly vetted & investigated this Muslim Visa-for-cash lawyer, as Trump suggested for all immigrants from regions known to support Islamic Terrorists.
    Well, at least sales of a condensed version of the US Constitution have increased, perhaps better educating potential US voters.
          I had decided to take a step back this last week after getting pissed off at the ignorance from the liberals here, and even some frustration that conservatives here weren’t properly defending,
          But Man Yogi. I just came back to look around and you have been doing conservative like it should be done.
          Very nice. Very nice indeed. We need more people out there that are well versed conservatives.
          Bob & Yogi, what is your input about Hilliary’s new plan to raise taxes $1.3 Trillion if she is elected? Do you think that would be a stimulus to the economy or drive the country closer to Venezuela’s economy. Progressive Democrats have some interesting ideas to grow the economy, don’t they?
            Bob, politics make strange bedfellows, don’t they? After 6 months of Bernie saying Hilliary was not fit to be President, they suddenly hug on stage and he endorses her and then she comes out with the Bernie tax increase plan. Both of them are totally and completely misguided about what is good for America.
            Well, to be fair lots of republicans are doing that with Trump back and forth.
            Of course Cruz is the exception there and most republicans don’t like Cruz for it.
            It’s just politics. I care more about the policies.
    Bob, well, it is kind of amazing that literally all media and most of the original Republican candidates have been against Trump and he still won the nomination. RINO’s sure don’t like him since he is overturning their applecart. Cruz started out with a Conservative message and did well until he got a terrible case of hate and he was out of there. Trust me, his political career in Texas is over. Texans did not like that behavior and if he wants to move, I have no objection to it. Trump has his faults and his speech is rough, but no one accused him of not having a backbone. He will not be a cream puff candidate like Romney who thought all he had to do was look Presidential the last month of the campaign.
      I realize that and that’s not my point.
      Good politicians like Paul Ryan are going back and forth on this as well, they don’t want to be ruined by association.
      The same thing happens with democrats. If Hillary or Sanders tanks, the democrats wait to see who to support.
      It’s just politics. I don’t care how often they switch really. I care about Paul Ryan’s plans and that’s why I support him. The guy had excellent plans.
        By the way, I have been meaning to ask you about that $15 hr wage in Washington State on restaurants. Has it had any effect or are people just accepting it and paying much more for their meals? Any layoffs by restaurants? Service still good?
          So I booked a flight a month ago, and Spirit is one of the few Airlines that breaks out government taxes and fees.
          The flight is $272.80
          The government fees make up: $113.92, this is darn near half.
          https://www.eia.gov/tools/faqs/faq.cfm?id=10&t=10
          This is fairly similar to gas taxes, which shows that for every gallon of gas you guy, taxes make up a ton of it.
          So in this you add the federal and state taxes. That is 44.92 cents per gallon. Gas at that time, January 2016, was just under $2.00 a gallon. That is about 20% of gas costs.
          This is constantly harming the costs of living, and it is why more spending is needed.
          You want more fun?
          I was looking at the cost of different States regulation industries per year for insurance.
          These guys do little to nothing to help people, and we are talking states with 100 million in spending. I haven’t found the total number on it, but this…This is why we have problems.
          This is why reducing regulations is a huge deal and can make the deficit a non issue.
          https://cei.org/10KC/Chapter-1
          What if we for example stopped most regulations, and just made funds for the poor or middle class who have a business complaint or grievance?
          Instead of filing a lawsuit and spending tons, they instead just prove they have a grievance and the government just gives funds if needed?
          It is astounding what kids these days don’t know.
          Regulations are the biggest part of what is screwing our country up. We have more regulations than some traditionally thought of “regulatory” countries, or I should say “most”.
          This is what most liberals are not aware of.
          It is why we are struggling just as much as those nations.
          We need to start taking the right actions. We’ve done it before, it worked. We need to do it now.
          Obama, Hillary, false prophets with false solutions need to go. They are the problem, and is astounding to me that moderates do not fully realize this yet.
          We cannot have more regulatory democrats. It will break this nation.
            Bob, you could cut just half the new regulations issued by EPA in the past 8 years and they would still have twice too many. They have stifled business, cost jobs and no business will expand with the burden they place on business. Paperwork, red tape and regulations by Progressive bureaucrats are the reason why jobs go offshore and $3-4 Trillion is parked there. That and the highest corporate tax rate in the civilized world does not create jobs in this country. Trump is right on this and Progressives who want to raise taxes and regulations are plain wrong, but they will never get it.
            I am bluntly sick of it.
            I watch these kids say how much we need regulation.
            And they talk of people who are anti religion as if they are anarchists, modern day southern outlaw hicks.
            But the fact is, people who are anti regulation are WELL RESEARCHED.
            We see the cost of 2 trillion in regulations and say woah woah woah, why the hell are we paying that much?
            That’s more than enough to pay for healthcare for all, or hell, even a housing program for all, and that’s to make sure that banks, insurance companies, and a few others don’t screw over some people sometimes?
            And how well did that work? We still had a recession, which they claim is because we need MORE regulations.
            Then they print trillions in QE dollars. MORE money wasted.
            It’s like what the hell is going on????
            We are the idiots?
            How are these idiots missing this?
            This is what will destroy the entire nation.
            As long as they say “the reason is poor people” they can just do anything it appears, and UW will take them at their word.
            I say enough!
            So fun facts:
            “If U.S. federal regulation was a country, it would be the world’s 10th largest economy, ranking behind Russia and ahead of India.”
            In 2014, agencies issued 3,554 new regulations compared to 224 new laws. That’s a pace of 16 regulations for every law.
            “The 2014 Federal Register contains 77,687 pages, the sixth highest page count in its history. Among the six all-time-high Federal Register total page counts, five occurred under President Obama.”
            “Some 60 federal departments, agencies and commissions have 3,415 regulations in development at various stages in the pipeline. The top six federal rulemaking agencies account for 48 percent of all federal regulations. These are the Departments of the Treasury, Commerce, Interior, Health and Human Services and Transportation and the Environmental Protection Agency.”
            But all UW can say when republicans try to fix this is:
            Republicans only say deregulation! Which caused the crises! Blah blah blah democrat slogans, blah blah blah class warfare, blah blah blah racism, blah blah blah sexism, blah blah blah, in conclusion somehow higher tax rates and more regulations will save the world!
            This is THE problem. The area that needs to be fixed. So of course republicans are focusing on it.
          I mean really, when we passed multiple thousand page or above laws under Obama, that is the problem.
          It’s not just bad, it is awful.
          Do you see the cost of regulations there? It is nearly 2 trillion per year.
          By regulating the economy to make people feel “safe” we are robbing them of tons more.
          That is the con. This bullshit.
          The “give us money, give us power, pass more laws, we work for you!”
          You don’t need two fucking trillion to make sure the public is ok, and then another nearly 4 trillion in spending per year.
          It’s out of control.
This is her concession to Bernie to get her hug. Hopefully, Trump will bring this up in the debates and people will finally see the Progressive Agenda instead of blindly voting for Democrats.
            And moderates justify electing her by saying Trump is a racist, sexist, xenophobe who doesn’t know how to speak proper…
            This from LIBERALS I might add, who used to be all about saying “Excuse me? I’ll talk how I like thank you very much you pompous wind bag”
            Instead, they are now doing what they say conservatives used to do. They are moral policing over policy reviewing.
            The way I view this as a moderate, is that they are running around with a Bible, saying if you don’t follow it, they will tar and feather you (I use that analogy on purpose, considering the racist orgins of the democrat party literally did this in the past)
            As a moderate, when I see this, I see a bunch of zealots who need to shut the hell up, and all their members in congress need to be hog tied, and thrown the hell out.
    Agent, the biggest change in the $15 an hour wage in WA is with the employees. Many saw the jump in pay meant any gov’t assistance they were receiving was reduced to offset the wage hike. As expected in Seattle, the employees told their employers they had to reduce the # of hours worked so their gov’t assistance checks would be increased back to their prior levels. Life of the lazy and stupid is alive and well in Seattle.
      tj, that sounds like a nasty cycle going on up there in Seattle. They really don’t want to work hard and try to get ahead since the government continues to reward laziness. With reduced hours worked, the service has to fall off. What is the employer to do, but hire a number of these 10 hour a week lazy nitwits. Hey, they will have more free time to smoke their dope, right/
