When did the “notion that Coke’s products can be part of a healthy diet” become “imprinted on the minds of millions”. I’ve never thought that and don’t know anyone that does. However if Coke thinks this lawsuit is without merit, they need to contact the tobacco companies and asked them about these type of lawsuits.

It does has multiple uses so I still buy it. It works wonders on any surface rough on my golf clubs. 24 hours in a bucket of Coke and they’re clean. Only irons though, don’t put woods in there. It’ll eat the paint off the woods.
You bet! I have an old 1963 bronze Ping putter and I do the same thing with it. That putter shines like a bar of gold when I take it out. I should add, I suggest a light wire brushing after the 24 hour soak just to make sure you get all of the soda off the club.

I’m just curious, did anyone say you can’t drink Coke, or a case of them for that matter? I agree the lawsuit is ridiculous, but I also don’t hear anyone telling me what I can and cannot do. I can’t say the same for women, especially in some states, but I’m assuming the mr in your name means you are male. What rights have been taken from you?
Bottom line is that pretty much anything consumed in abundant amounts is not good for you. I never heard or thought that drinking coke was healthy. But certainly one 12 oz Coca-Cola a day isn’t all that bad.

There likely is a correlation between fat people and the amount of sugary soft drinks they consume—but that is not the CAUSE. Coke is absolutely correct in its defense: weight is determined by calories consumed versus calories expended. If you drink five cokes a year you will not get fat. If you drink five cokes a day you will. What next? A lawsuit against ice cream?
Another absurd lawsuit, dreamed up by some unemployed losers and filed with enough fanfare and press releases to try to force Coke to write a check to make it go away. Extortion.
We need serious tort reform in order to make these types of claims go away. Force the plaintiffs to pay ALL legal fees if they lose. Force the plaintiffs to show cause or some other direct link before allowing them to file a lawsuit that is this broad.
Or file enough legal actions against Praxis, it’s founders, members, etc to keep them tied up with their own problems for a long time to come.
I believe if the plaintiff loses then they should have to pay all court and lawyer fees, including the defendant’s; That should deter most frivolous lawsuits.
I remember being told “too much coke will rot your teeth and make you fat”. This goes back 50+ years. What’s changed? Back to back generations of people who cannot think for themselves. Totally dependent on the government to tell them what’s what. This lawsuit is stupid and should be thrown out.
The “do gooders” always end up going to court to enforce their social causes. Aren’t we lucky to have such folks around to protect us from so many things.
Then there is the lawyer issue. THERE’S TOO DARN MANY OF THEM!!! Stupid litigation is a jobs program for lawyers. They get their millions while I’ll get my $1.25 class action settlement.
