Jack, there is a new Sheriff in town and Obama appointees can pack their bags. We didn’t need this position anyway. Waste of taxpayer money. Leave insurance regulation to the states where it belongs.

        Agent,

Based on your post, you are against selling health insurance policies across state lines. If you are for that, how will they be regulated since they would be considered interstate commerce? Will the federal government force states to allow the sale of a policy that does not meet their regulations because it meets the regulations of the health insurer’s state of domicile?

Let’s see if you could actually answer these questions directly without insults.

Ron, this job didn’t have any regulatory authority so therefore it can be eliminated entirely and we the taxpayer will save the salary. Any Obama employee should be asked to leave just like the Ambassadors who will be gone by inauguration day. Think that is heartless? Obama sent the GW Ambassadors away when he was inaugurated. The new Sheriff will drain the swamp whether you like it or not.

He’s doing a stellar job of draining the swamp, that is of any decent people and regulations. He’s appointing more dangerous retreads than the truck tire retreader that cost me millions as an underwriter ever did.

I agree with your post 100%.

Now, care to answer my questions regarding how to regulate health insurance policies that are to be sold across state lines?

            TrumPolarBear,

There is no plan. The Republicans continue to prove me right that there has never been a real plan, just ideas and talking points to get votes. In addition, they are also proving me right they either have no interest or competency to govern.

Maybe if they spent more time coming up with an actual replacement for the PPACA instead of wasting time and money trying to score political points attempting to repeal the law, they would have something for President Trump to sign on day 2, as he promised.

@Ron; your LIES will soon be exposed, as soon as Thursday, by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell.

Stay tuned, to be exposed as a LIAR.

@Ron. No, I will not. But I can summarize it as follows: the risk averse issue will be addressed.

If all that will be addressed is a solution to risk aversion, then I have been telling the truth that there is no plan, only more ideas. I have already conceded that the Republicans have ideas, just no real plan.

The only way I can be proven wrong is for a bill to replace the PPACA to be on President Trump’s desk on 1/21/2017. Otherwise, I am right.

            Dem hypocrisy exposed again:

VIGOROUSLY VET TrumPresident nominees for his cabinet and various Fed Administration positions.

DON’T VET potentially dangerous refugees, some of whom have already been involved in terrorist actions in Europe.

DON’T HELP VETS as much as they deserve, for their sacrifices to our Country.

HELP ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS and REFUGEES who will include many terrorists seeking entry to the US. Give them welfare and food stamps and collegiate scholarships and in-state tuition discounts, etc.

            HYPOCRITES!

            TrumPolarBear,

            Off topic… again.

If I were a Republican and/or Conservative I would not speak of hypocrisy. That is the quintessential “pot calling the kettle black”.

Even if what you posted were true, which it isn’t, that would not be hypocrisy. It would be poor, irresponsible decision making. There is a difference.

The sore losers continue to pick on Trump and his advisor choices. Accept and move on, and hope he does a great job. Trump is a different candidate, so naturally his choices are different too. The election is over and people are still attacking him based on conjecture.

            Jack Kanauph,

Are you saying that we just let “Dear Leader” do whatever he wants and just hope for the best?

Just like you and the Republicans were happy to accept President Obama, and his policies, and move on in 2008 and 2012?

Trump supporters need to accept the fact that, in this great country, our leaders are all to be held accountable for their decisions.

If the Obama administration staff engaged in illegal and/or unethical activities, or conflicts of interest, and has been proven by the new AG, they should be held accountable.

Simple yes/no question, Should President Trump and his administration also be held accountable?

I worked with him as a carrier claim manager for business in Illinois. We had an interaction about a policyholder complaint related to a coverage determination on a commercial property policy (definition of “collapse”). I found him to be a reasonable professional, stronger than many in regulator roles in terms of coverage and advocacy. Opinions differ, but I suspect he will have little doubt leveraging his time in this role to a strong position in the future. The bigger question is what the future holds for FIO. It seems like this office has been pretty much a non-issue since its creation and insurance is still regulated almost exclusively (in widely varying fashion) by the states. Certainly there are arguments for or against FIO but most would appreciate consistent rate and other regulation rules and procedures for all 50 states and the U.S. territories.
