The guys whose jobs exist only to promote climate change so mindlessly promote it, are about to lose their jobs. Now maybe they can find “real” work. Maybe even get back to learning the “scientific method” which seems to have escaped them.
Dave, Mulvaney is a smart guy. He correctly said that the other side was doing crazy stuff. Progressive Socialists are the crazy guys in our society and they are also the Climate Change Hoaxers trying to dupe the citizens.
Have you ever considered perhaps climate change is real, however, it has been exaggerated for political purposes or do you simply believe it is nonexistent?
I wasn’t talking to the “not many” – I was talking to Agent. Agent has rather adamantly denied climate change. There was no ‘tactic’. It was a question and a pretty simply one at that. You seem like a pretentious troll. Good luck being you.

The previous administration’s complete lack of fiscal discipline is rooted in so many of these programs. No doubt some have a valid mission but can we just for once remember we cant do it all. Prioritize our goals and fund those which the nation can afford.
You realize our President, the one we have now – not Obama, is being investigated for a wide range of things one of them being laundering Russia money? This is so hysterical. Obama was a weak President but what you just said is so hilariously hypocritical. I love you for your brain.
Ignorance is bliss. But knowledge is real power. Here’s a case where knowledge can help people help themselves, and where remaining ignorant will bite people in their pocketbooks big time. If you have any common sense at all, staying on top of the impact the weather and climate change will have on where people can live is perhaps the most important decision facing us. The data is as scary as it gets and it continues to just get worse. Millions of people will be migrating inland. The impacts on public and private economies will be unimaginable. We need to keep the data coming so we can foresee and adapt to the coming changes.
The climate changes. That is what it does…naturally. The ongoing debate is what impact does “humankind” play in the change in climate and to what degree, if any. I’ve said it before, we all have to be good stewards of our natural resources.
Unfortunately, many “scientist’s” have failed us because they are continually trying to “prove” their theories and many have manipulated their data to achieve that. They are ignoring or applying less weight to obvious and historical occurrences that have impacted the climate throughout the millennia. The solar activity is one significant example. The number of variable impacting the climate are numerous and humankinds impact is fractional, by comparison, to the other natural variables.
As with most situations, we all need to be wise enough to “follow the money” which typically uncovers the motivation behind many endeavors (scientific or otherwise).
Many of the problems we are encountering with regards to increased damage to coastal properties and inland flooding are caused by greed and poor planning. Developers want to make money so they “convince” local politicians to build in areas that should not have development (or limited development). Areas are being flooded with average rainfalls that were not previously flooded. Obviously, there are occurrences (100 year flood events) that cause even more damage, but these events are naturally occurring at random locations and have done so for centuries. The damage costs are escalating because of both the economic value of today’s dollars and because more expensive developments and infrastructures are being built in areas that is considered prestigious or exclusive.
Humankind cannot control the weather. To think otherwise is both foolish and arrogant.
Biblically speaking, God made mankind to have dominion over all the animals in the world. He said nothing about the weather or natural occurrences. For those that don’t believe in God, no need to bash me for this previous statement. Let’s just agree to disagree on the topic. Thanks!
Jack, the monstrous out of control Federal Government has been self perpetuating for many years. Every year, they submit higher budgets whether they need it or not. Time to go the other way and trim it way, way back.
So nice to see the same people believing science only when the “science” “supports” their belief.
How many scientist are there in the world today? Show me the list of them. Until you can show me the COMPLETE list with names and verifiable credentials, liberal claims of “95% of scientist agree” is not really science is it.
Actually Jack, to mitigate the environmental damage caused by printing such a list, why don’t YOU make the list of the deniers and their verifiable credentials? After all, your list would be thirty times smaller.
Anyway, my comment wasn’t about “science”. It was to point at that now, in 2017, even the guys who paid the deniers to muddy things with bunk alt-science believe real science when they see it.
Jack, as long as we are at it, who said the following?
Climate Change is the most serious national security threat that the nation has. Pick from the following candidates.
(a) Barack H. Obama
(b) Barack H. Obama
(c) Barack H. Obama
(d) Barack H. Obama
He should call up May and tell her she has no worries about Islamic Jihad, it is all about Climate Change.
Not so nice to see Climate Hoaxers using inappropriate labels to advance Straw Man Arguments about ‘climate change’ when ‘man-significantly-influenced climate change’ is the debate issue.
It’s not so nice because it is a liberal tool to fool the naive and expand & perpetuate government control, and lessen liberties of citizens so those hoaxers can live off taxing the public like leeches.
Thus far, two fools are upset I’ve exposed the Straw Man Arguments used by Climate Hoaxer Socialists disguised as ‘scientists’ and ‘deep thinkers’ who are both ‘concerned about our children’s future’.
America must put the energy needs of American families and businesses first,” according to the section of the budget document justifying those cuts. That includes “promoting development of the nation’s vast energy resources.” – Why not just say “drill, baby, drill” and get it over with? Because clearly this administraton is not talking about development of solar or wind power.
Education is bad, science isn’t real, Christianity is to deny basic human rights and make a profit, pro-life ends when a person is born, hypocrisy is to be honored and awarded, “fake news” are proven facts but I still don’t believe them, “whataboutism”, and the answer to everything (including the cure for cancer and world peace) is deregulation and tax cuts for the rich.
Once again, you choose to listen to the superficial half-truths that the left wing progressive media feeds you instead of looking for the actual details behind the “snip-its” provided by the media.
If the economy is getting better and more people are working, doesn’t it make common sense (I know common sense is a stretch for many of the progressive sheep) that there should be less people needing food stamps because they are working?
The fear-mongering democrats (Pelosi, Schumer, etc) are painting and “end of the world scenario” that is a flat out lie. If everyone is entitled to everything, why have money at all? Everything should be free and people should just be told where they must work so that everything can be made at no cost. Hmmm…sounds a lot like North Korea (or so the North Koreans living there think and experience). Is that the type of country you want to live (exist) in?
Our society has created (and continues to create) generations of lazy people that think they are entitled to everything. The more we enable that thinking, the worse it gets.
Christianity is all about loving your neighbor. This includes teaching them to fish (being self-sufficient) instead of simply giving them a fish (entitlements). Christians also take care of those who cannot take care of themselves more than any other religion. https://www.guidestar.org/NonprofitDirectory.aspx?cat=8
To coin the term from above, your “Straw Man Arguments” are always superficial based on the limited info fed to you. Continue being the sheep that you are.
Education is good and science can be real. Both, however, can be bad if they are both corrupt and full of lies and half truths. Integrity matters is all disciplines of life and those who compromise their integrity for self gain are corrupt, both internally and externally.

Unless of course your neighbor is anything other than a Christian.
Apparently, you are restricted to “Conserving your own made up truth”.
Another fake statement and straw man argument. Easily made without anything remotely substantial to back up the statement and total lack of effort due to laziness to find the truth. Christians give more to the WORLD, regardless of religious affiliation, than ANY OTHER Religion.
I believe that the biggest problem with this, and nearly every other debate, is the inability or lack of interest in actually taking the time to listen and fully comprehend the complete message that the other side is trying to communicate.
This goes for both sides.
Fact is that the climate is changing and nobody truly KNOWS exactly how much of the impact is natural and how much is due to man’s influence. To say either is the sole or even majority impact is being naive. Let’s focus on what mankind can control and prepare for the future impact of Earth’s natural climate change that we cannot control.
The guys whose jobs exist only to promote climate change so mindlessly promote it, are about to lose their jobs. Now maybe they can find “real” work. Maybe even get back to learning the “scientific method” which seems to have escaped them.

Agent,
Have you ever considered perhaps climate change is real, however, it has been exaggerated for political purposes or do you simply believe it is nonexistent?
Not many doubt that climate changes.
You need to be specific about what is being debated if you want to have a meaningful conversation.
The ‘climate is changing’ tactic is a Straw Man Argument.
Susan,
I wasn’t talking to the “not many” – I was talking to Agent. Agent has rather adamantly denied climate change. There was no ‘tactic’. It was a question and a pretty simply one at that. You seem like a pretentious troll. Good luck being you.

FEMA has been bankrupt for how many years now? Like they really give a crap about a budget anyway in DC.
Jack, the monstrous out of control Federal Government has been self perpetuating for many years. Every year, they submit higher budgets whether they need it or not. Time to go the other way and trim it way, way back.
So nice to see the usual suspects prattling on about Climate Change being a hoax.
Can you guess who made the following statement?:
“We believe that climate change is real. We believe that the threat of climate change is real. And we believe that action is needed.”
Was it:
A) Rosie O’Donnell
B) Al Gore
C) Stephen Hawking
D) Royal Dutch Shell’s CEO
So nice to see the same people believing science only when the “science” “supports” their belief.

Polar,
Stop, buddy. You are embarrassing yourself again.

They don’t say ‘drill, baby, drill’ because that IS NOT THE INTENTION.
ANOTHER Straw Man Argument, filled with implicit hyperbole and misleading statements.
Heres something for you, Susan – Arby’s, yes the fast food chain, employs as many people as the coal industry. Think about that.
???So what’s your point???
Today’s alt right-wing nutjob:
Education is bad, science isn’t real, Christianity is to deny basic human rights and make a profit, pro-life ends when a person is born, hypocrisy is to be honored and awarded, “fake news” are proven facts but I still don’t believe them, “whataboutism”, and the answer to everything (including the cure for cancer and world peace) is deregulation and tax cuts for the rich.
Or, in terms that may be more relatable, “You might be an alt right-wing nutjob if…”
Planet,
