This is a giant waste of time and money as there will undoubtedly be an expectation for drivers to change their behavior when all the bells, whistles, and voices activate. Why not institute mandatory medical exams as part of the licensing process for people over 65 years old? Duh.
We can hardly stop people from texting, eating, applying make-up, etc., all while at the control of a vehicle travelling down a road, so this grandiose and “feel good” idea is DOA.
I agree Integrity. It is another one of those hoaxes to perpetrate on the consumer. If they really want to do something positive, figure out a way to keep people from texting while driving or playing Pokémon Go.
1. There was no criticism. IJ has made good strides in the product it delivers and any continued feedback, delivered in an objective manner as this was, can only be helpful. Indeed, I asked a question that might help them fine tune their publishing software.
2. I think you meant to write “…are you just satisfied…”.
So with this on the horizon, does this mean that US Auto Manufactures have to purchase, Medical Mal Practice or Professional Liability? I would hate to be the one who gets the buzz from my car and it’s a false reading….
So does this mean the auto manufactures will then have to buy Medical Mal Practice Coverage in layers? I would have to say, I wouldn’t want that liability on my head, especially with the way some mechanisms detect false readings.
Knowing the costs of this coverage, just makes me want to purchase Used Cars. Who will be able to afford this?

IJ Editor,
re: “myocardial infraction”, copied and pasted from the article.
Problem with your auto-correct? It’s “infarction”.
Thank you Dr. Fair. Did you get anything at all out of the story or are just satisfied with criticizing IJ?
Where to begin?
