    You know who else would like a better grasp of what Home Office wants to write? Field underwriters!

    Plumbing is 100 years old and stays the same.. Insurance underwriting and technology takes on the same personality as that plumbing.. The insurance industry has to do a better job in stream lining applications, underwriting speed and responsiveness. It should never take two weeks to get a quote.. It’s ridiculous with today’s technology to move as the dinosaurs do.

    Martin, you’re right on. In speaking to carriers it’s amazing how often the issue isn’t even on the radar once you get a few steps back from folks in or dealing with the field. Getting this right is easier now for insurers than it’s ever been (and some are getting it right, BTW). Especially if you’re on the agency side, don’t put up with excuses.
