AMERISAFE, a DeRidder, La.-based specialty workers compensation insurance group focused on hazardous industries, announced the promotions Allen Bradley to president and chief operating officer and Craig P. Leach to the position of executive VP.
Bradley’s most recent position was executive VP, Underwriting and Safety, and General Counsel. He has held various positions in his eight years with AMERISAFE comprising a broad spectrum of insurance management positions. Prior to joining AMERISAFE he was a practicing attorney and served eight years in the Louisiana legislature.
Leach has been affiliated with AMERISAFE for over 22 years holding a number of management positions. His most recent position was senior VP, Sales and Marketing. Additionally, he serves on the Executive and Underwriting Committees of the Company. Prior to joining AMERISAFE, Leach was a timber procurement manager for International Paper Company.
Leach is a licensed agent in 42 states and holds the professional designation of Certified Workers Compensation Professional (CWCP). He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Forest Resources Association (formerly American Pulpwood Association). Recently, Leach was elected as chairman of the Timber Harvesting and Transportation Safety Foundation (National THATS Foundation).
