The Oklahoma Insurance Department reported that as of Oct. 23, 2003, it is no longer accepting phone calls inquiring about the number of continuing education hours a licensee has on file with the department.
Agents may check their current CE status on the department’s Web site at www.oid.state.ok.us. If the recorded credits differ from the agent’s records, the continuing education provider should be contacted.
Licensees are responsible for maintaining a record of CE hours completed and for retaining certificates of course completion. Providers are responsible for issuing course completion certificates and for reporting agents’ attendance at classes in a timely manner.
