The Republic Companies, based in Dallas, announced the appointment of Stephen D. Johnson as vice president of Claims.
Most recently, Johnson held senior management positions with Farmers Insurance. He has been in private law practice and was with Republic from 1986 – 1994, serving as an officer in the Legal Department and the Claims Department.
Johnson succeeds Vice President Jerry Jones, who will retire in November after 22 years with Republic.
Founded in 1903, Republic provides personal property and auto insurance in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico, and commercial insurance in Texas and Oklahoma.
