San Antonio-based Argonaut Group Inc. announced that its Board of Directors appointed Frank Maresh as a member of Argonaut Group’s Board effective Dec. 31, 2003.
“As the former vice chairman of KPMG in the United States, Mr. Maresh brings over 40 years of invaluable accounting expertise to our Board,” commented Gary Woods, chairman of the Board of Argonaut Group.
Mark E. Watson III, Argonaut Group president and CEO, added, “Mr. Maresh’s financial expertise makes him an excellent and timely complement to our existing Board.”
Maresh is a consultant, investor and owner in numerous private enterprises, and serves on several Boards of Directors.
From 1962 to 1993, Maresh held various senior level management positions within KPMG, including vice chairman of the United States Board of Directors and managing partner of the Southwestern United States. Maresh sat on the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy from 1993 to 1999 where he served as both chairman of the Board and chairman of the Major Case Committee.
