Companion Property & Casualty Insurance Group announced that the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) has awarded the company one of the servicing carrier contracts for the Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Insurance Plan.
Companion, which is headquartered in Columbia, S.C., said it expects to process $18 million to $21 million in premiums in Arkansas during the contract’s three-year term expiring at the end of 2006. The contract gives Companion 20 percent of the total assigned risk plan.
As a servicing carrier for the Arkansas assigned risk plan, Companion expects to provide services such as underwriting, policy administration, claims administration, claims processing, premium audit, loss control, billing and collections.
