Illinois-based Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced it has acquired Roberts & Eastland LLC and Persac Insurance Agency of Baton Rouge, La., effective Jan. 31, 2004. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
Roberts & Eastland and Persac Insurance were founded in 1922 and 1952 respectively. Both companies offer risk management, property, casualty and benefit insurance services for their commercial and personal lines clients in the Southeast.
William Marks, Jack Persac III, Richard “Bud” Parnell and their staff will continue to operate in their Baton Rouge location under the direction of Mitchel Brashier, Mid-South regional manager of Gallagher’s Brokerage Service Retail Division.
J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr., president and chief executive officer said, “With a combined business experience of over 100 years, these two outstanding firms will be significant contributors to our Louisiana operations and our Mid-South Region.
