Cunningham Lindsey U.S. Inc. (CLUS), based in Dallas, was named as one of six companies approved to provide claims administration services for Citizens Property Insurance Corporation (Citizens).
CLUS said Citizens determined the selection criteria and the standards of performance needed to service their valued insured’s and agents in the State of Florida. Cunningham Lindsey’s approval is based on past performance, geographical coverage and expertise in claims administration services.
“We are very pleased that Citizens has expressed confidence in our ability to provide consistent high-quality claims adjusting services,” said Karen Murphy, president and CEO, CLUS. “Our goal is to deliver on this commitment and to assist Citizens and its policy holders.”
In 2002, the Florida Legislature passed a law that combined the Florida Residential Property and Casualty Joint Underwriting Association (FRPCJUA) and the Florida Windstorm Underwriting Association (FWUA). This resulted in the creation of Citizens Property insurance Corporation (Citizens) http://www.citizensfla.com/, which more efficiently and effectively provides insurance to, and serves the needs of, homeowners in high-risk areas and others who cannot find coverage in the open, private insurance market.
