The CPCU Society Leadership Institute and the Alamo chapter of the CPCU Society announced a career development seminar, “Developing Resilience in a Rapidly Changing World,” to be presented in San Antonio, Texas, on June 11, 2004.
The seminar will take place from 8:30 a.m. – Noon at the United Services Auto Association (USAA) Seminar Room #2, E01W, located at 9800 Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio.
The cost for the seminar is $99 for CPCU Society members and $109 for nonmembers. Materials and refreshments will be provided. This seminar qualifies for three CPD points.
The program is designed to help participants acquire skills to manage change successfully and influence their future in a positive way, and to:
1. Understand the five characteristics of personal resilience.
2. Identify and describe the personal benefits of resilience.
3. Capitalize on “positive” opportunities available in situations perceived as “negative.”
4. Become more flexible in their thinking when faced with “negative” changes.
Completers of this seminar will receive a “Course Certificate for Developing Resilience” from the CPCU Society as part of the National Leadership Institute.
The National Leadership Institute is the CPCU Society’s premier educational program for insurance industry professionals looking to advance their careers or take on leadership roles within their organizations.
The seminar instructor, Gregory G. Deimling, is principal of Gregory G. Deimling and Associates, a risk, insurance and management-consulting firm located in Cincinnati, Ohio. A past president of the CPCU Society’s Cincinnati Chapter, he has also served nationally as secretary-treasurer, regional vice president, governor, member of the Strategic Planning Committee, and chairman of the Interest Sections Governing Committee and Budget & Finance Committee.
