San Antonio-based wholesale insurance broker, Vista Insurance Partners, announced the expansion of its transportation division to Arkansas, Oklahoma and Mississippi.
“Our successful track record in Texas provides a solid basis for this expansion,” said James H. Levine, Vista’s president and CEO. “Agents who serve large transportation and commercial automobile accounts will find that we will give them access to the best markets, and we’ll partner with them to grow profitable premium.”
Vista’s transportation division primarily covers regional “for hire” trucking risks with 15 to 150 power units located in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Mississippi. Lines of coverage provided include auto liability (guaranteed cost) and APD.
“We have a special expertise in long haul and intermediate haul trucking, and our division provides brokerage, binding authorities and reinsurance facilities,” said David Love, Vista’s executive vice president and national director of transportation. “Our goal is to be the wholesale broker of choice in these states.”
Vista is expanding the transportation team to ensure that the division maintains its reputation for industry knowledge, superior service and problem solving. Gina Abramson, is joining Vista as senior underwriter. Abramson has over fourteen years in the insurance industry, twelve as an underwriter for commercial transportation risks.
“I have written practically everything on wheels,” said Abramson. “Vista is ready to meet the challenges faced by agents writing larger pieces of business.”
