The Texas Association of Counties Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurance Fund’s Board of Trustees has voted to approve The JI Companies, an Austin-based risk management and employee benefits company, to serve as the new claims services partner for
TAC’s workers’ comp program.
JI will be responsible for claims coordination and administration for the 284 counties and special districts that comprise the Fund membership, representing more than $1.2 billion annual payroll and $35 million annual premium. JI will hire more than 20 workers’
comp professionals in order to service this account.
Since 1991, JI has provided TAC with consulting, brokerage,
preauthorization, and ancillary services, fostering a successful relationship that has resulted in JI developing an in-depth knowledge of county business.
