Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced it has acquired the Sheridan Insurance Group of Friendswood, Texas. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1984, the Sheridan Insurance Group, doing business as National Health Services, is an insurance brokerage operation that specializes in structuring and placing medical malpractice insurance for more than 3,000 physicians and physician groups. Thomas E. Sheridan and his associates will continue to operate in their current location under the direction of James J. Braniff III, South Central regional manager of Gallagher’s Brokerage Services Retail Division.
