Western Security Surplus (WSS) announced that Shelly Hill-Stockin has joined the company’s Dallas office in the position of underwriter. Hill-Stockin will report to Kyle Stevens, vice president and branch manager of WSS’ Texas office, and will specialize in contract property and casualty business.
“Since Shelly has spent so much time in many different aspects of an agency, she comes to us with an impressive breadth of experience,” Stevens said. “I’m very confident she will soon become a valuable member of this office.”
Hill-Stockin brings nearly 15 years experience to this position. From 2000 to 2004 she was employed by a Dallas-based surplus line MGA. Prior to that she worked at Deep South Surplus Inc. in Shreveport, La., for eight years. At both companies she began as a policy processor and worked her way up to underwriter.
