Heath Insurance Brokers announced that Jerry Murphy has been promoted to senior vice president for the company’s Texas branch.
Murphy specializes in worker injury coverages including both workers’ compensation and Texas non-subscriber insurance through open market and in- house facilities.
“Jerry’s extensive knowledge and experience in workers compensation coverages are tremendous assets to our organization,” said Todd Teitell, Texas branch president. “Our retail producers look to Jerry and his experienced team for market access as well as sales support.”
Murphy has served as a non-subscription arbitrator, spoken at numerous conferences, and presented to many industry groups and associations on the subject. He has been with Heath since 1996 when Heath acquired his firm.
“The workers’ compensation market in Texas can be difficult to navigate,” Murphy said. “My team works hard to answer questions and helps agents and their clients decide if non-subscription coverages are a good fit for their needs.”
