The Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission (AWCC) announced it intends revise four Rules of the Commission and is seeking public comment. The rules in question are:
Rule 3, “Employer Filing Requirement”
Rule 4, “Termination of Coverage by Insurance Carrier: Employer to Obtain New Coverage”
Rule 5, “Self-Insurance Program”
Rule 38, “Third-Party Administrators”
The AWCC will receive written public comment through 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 14, 2005. These comments should be directed to Richard Lucy at rlucy@awcc.state.ar.us or P.O. Box 950, Little Rock, AR 72203-0950.
The proposed rules are available online at www.awcc.state.ar.us under “What’s New.”
A public hearing on the rules is scheduled for 10 a.m. Oct. 21, in Hearing Room A at the AWCC, 324 Spring St., Little Rock.
Those intending to speak should bring written copies of their comments to leave with the AWCC.
The proposed effective date for all approved changes would be Jan. 1, 2006.
