CompPAC Trust of Texas Expands Work Comp Eligibility to Artisan Contractors

The CompPAC Trust of Texas, a workers’ compensation self-insurance group administered by First Cardinal of Texas Ltd., reported it has received approval from the Texas Department of Insurance to expand its list of eligible classes to include artisan contractors.

The CompPAC Trust of Texas was formed in January 2006 following the merger of the Texas Air Conditioning Contractors Association WC Trust and the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors of Texas WC Trust.

According to the company, the newly expanded list of class codes will allow skilled contractors that are involved in construction and servicing of building systems, including mechanical, plumbing, HVAC/R, data, telecommunications, security, and related services.
