Southwest Business Corporation (SWBC) announced that Cathy L. Starnes, Ph.D. has joined SWBC as the vice president of Employee Benefits in the company’s San Antonio office.
As vice president of Employee Benefits, Starnes is responsible for the leadership of SWBC’s Employee Benefits division, the development of new health insurance platforms, and continuing to find innovative solutions to assist clients in controlling premiums.
“Not only does Cathy have vast experience in the health insurance industry, but she also brings extensive sales, business development, operations, and management experience. She will be a tremendous asset to our Employee Benefits division and a great addition to our leadership team,” said Charlie Amato, chairman of SWBC.
Prior to joining SWBC, Starnes was the vice president of Key Accounts for PacifiCare and UnitedHealthcare. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Starnes also earned a Master of Business Administration and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from the University of the Incarnate Word.
SWBC provides a wide range of insurance, mortgage, and investment services to financial institutions, businesses, and individuals.
