Add America First Insurance, a member of Liberty Mutual Group, to the list of insurers that are actively working with Texas agents to assist policyholders with Texas Select Lloyds Insurance Company, which was recently put into liquidation by the Texas Department of Insurance.
“About 154,000 Texas homeowners will need to find new insurance coverage before August 23rd and we are ready to help them make that transition seamless,” said Keith Thompson, America First Insurance regional vice president, in a company announcement. “We have the technology necessary to provide more competitive, real-time pricing, and automated underwriting. These are the ease of doing business features that will be of particular value to our agents and Texas Select policyholders as the cancellation deadline looms.”
The company said America First’s appointed agents throughout Texas can provide qualified policyholders new coverage almost instantaneously with the convenience of Personal IQ SmartRisk, America First’s underwriting and pricing delivery system, which streamlines the underwriting process by simplifying eligibility criteria.
Texas Select policyholders can locate an America First Insurance appointed agent by accessing the ‘select an agent’ link on-line at www.americafirst-ins.com. Agents who are not currently appointed by America First Insurance but who wish to inquire about a rapid appointment should call 1-800-443-2534, extension 8525.
“This is an opportunity for America First and our appointed agents to show a large group of new customers here in Texas that, at America First, relationships matter, and that our products and services are backed by ‘A’ ratings from the major rating bureaus,” added Thompson.
Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, America First Insurance offers insurance products in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.
