David Duclos, chief operating officer for XL Capital Ltd’s global insurance operations announced the appointment of Diana Gladwell as Gulf Regional underwriting manager for its Marine & Offshore Energy (MOE) unit.
Gladwell will be based in Houston,Texas, and will be responsible for servicing XL Insurance’s Marine & Offshore Energy clients within the Gulf Coast. She will report to Jeffery Kaufmann, chief underwriting officer for XL Insurance’ MOE unit in the Americas.
Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Duclos said: “Our ability to service any industry hinges on having the right underwriting expertise. With Diana’s 25-years of insurance experience dedicated to the marine and offshore energy industry, we are pleased that she has chosen to join us. With her experience as a broker and her knowledge of this industry, especially in the Houston and New Orleans areas, Diana is a strong addition to our team.”
Gladwell joins XL Insurance from USI Insurance Services of Texas, where she was senior vice president. Her 25-year insurance industry career also included positions at Marsh, Sedgwick, and Willis.
